Should we wait to see what the schedule is before making winners and losers of the SEC going to a 10 game, conference only format? That would be responsible, but possibly not as much fun. All predictions here are made in jest, but really, I think they may be the additions to schedules. It's August, its time for football.

Winners
  • FSU, Louisville, and Georgia Tech- These schools all now have the benefit of not being waxed by their rivals this year and that may have some help in recruiting. FSU and Louisville would have also been waxed at home. So there's that. Oh and FSU avoids a potential 0-4 non-conference schedule. Remember, it was less than 2 years ago that Samford lead them with less than 5:00 to go.
  • Georgia- Let's be real, there is near no way they don't end up with Arky/Ole Miss, that's better for them than Virginia.
  • Tennessee- Somehow, no matter what, they win here. They've got their inexplicable win against the West (see Auburn 2018) possibly doubled. They lose Oklahoma, Troy, and the Furman University Christian Knights, all teams that I'm sure would have BYU/Georgia State like powers.
  • Vandy/Arky- Well, if you're going to do absolutely nothing worth anything, at least have a built in excuse of no non-conference games.
  • LSU- You don't have to lose at home at night to Texas early in the year and now you add Mizzou and Tennessee.

Losers

  • Clemson- When you play in the ACC, getting to run a train on the in-state rival and feeling like your that superior to the SEC, it must hurt to have that taken away.
  • Bama- Well, instead of facing incompetent cupcakes from the East like they have since 2010, they now actually will face two quality opponents...and somehow get Vandy.
  • aTm- Your SEC East opponents were Muschamp and Vandy, a nothing OOC schedule, and now you're getting Florida and Kentucky (you heard it here first).
  • Muschamp- See Vandy/Arky, except now your don't have a few padded wins for some moron AD to keep you even longer than necessary. On the bright side, Carolina may not have enough money to buy you out after this season.
  • Florida- We had no better schedule set up than 2020. More detail later, but with a great majority of teams breaking in new QB's, LSU replacing a whole lot including both OC/DC (especially considering the one year impact of Brady), etc., now probably getting hit with aTm and Bama (probably somehow both in the two weeks before Jax), it doesn't help. No, I don't fear competition, but even in the best UF years, we somehow get hit with a murderer's row that drops a game or two.

Alright, what is your way too early predictions? LSU goes 5-5 as coordinators no longer save Coach O aka Larry Coker? Does Bama take all-comers? Does Gary Danielson pitch a 4 loss Bama for the playoff? Does Auburn even matter? Does Tennessee win the majority of the back half of their schedule again? Who wins more games Arky/Vandy/Carolina combined or Florida? Does Muschamp win a game? How many grad assistants does he hit? Will he ever apologize for his poor teams? Will Dooley ever admit he is to blame for his teams failures? Am I asking too many questions? Is Mizzou even in the SEC? Seriously, is there an SEC team anyone cares less about? At least other teams are fun to hate. Will the SEC try to pull an NBA/MLS/MLB and have a political stunt before a game only to see it backfire horribly because that is the type of thing that your fanbase doesn't put up with on the great majority? Are you thinking of adding the WNBA to that last question? If you are, also explain how their attendance actually has arisen in the Disney bubble. Back to important things, does Kentucky continue to rise, with #FailState and Auburn already, could the road get easier? And will Crucial's "Polo" ever be the hit it was destined to be?

Since this is such an “unusual” season I don’t really care what our record is. As long we have at least 6 wins and don’t look terrible I’ll be happy. This season (if it’s played) will always have an asterisk.

Undefeated with an asterisk is better than 6-6 (or 6-5, 6-4, etc.) with an asterisk. I guarantee you who ever wins the NC (assuming football is actually played) will ignore the asterisk.

I see what you did there.
:D

My uncle, massive Gator, went to Furman and actually spread a rumor that this was the school’s old name. A few years ago, in the Alumni magazine (I believe), the rumor had gotten so big they felt the need to deny the rumor.

Well, historically speaking, the Paladins were Christian Knights, so....

Well, before I look at the Winners/Losers of the actual schedule drop, I think it is imperative to rank the East/West to show who won/lost or I think its so Meh I'm not going to touch it:

East
  1. Georgia- Won the East several years running
  2. Florida- To be the man, you have to beat the man, we have not done that yet
  3. Kentucky- With the return of their QB, they might have their best team ever, even without the white wannabe Darnell Dockett POS
  4. Tennessee- I expect them to get better
  5. Mizzou- Again, does anyone care about them? I mean getting the App. State coach is cool, I guess.
  6. Carolina- They will be bad.
  7. Vandy- I can't in good conscious put them ahead of Carolina pre-season.

West
  1. Bama- Until they consistently show otherwise, the are pre-season West leader
  2. aTm- Return quite a bit and don't they sign some 5 stars *cough*
  3. Auburn- Well, last season's most overhyped QB has to improve...right?
  4. LSU- I don't think they lose all the players and coaches and stay top 3 in the West.
  5. #FailState- Only because the other two were SO bad last year. Also, LOVE Mike Leach
  6. Ole Miss- They weren't as bad as Arky and Lane Kiffin could win a game.
  7. Arky- SO bad recently.

Winners
  • LSU- Did any team end up with a better schedule? Florida and the bottom 3 in the East. Easy to cover up some faults with that schedule.
  • Vandy- It could have been worse, not like it matters, but it could have been much worse.
  • Florida- Adding aTm is the best case scenario, though on the road. However, getting Arky at home...I'll take that trade off.
  • Georgia- Let's be honest, with Auburn and Alabama on the schedule already, you knew it was not going to be a hard road for them.
  • Bama- Not a terrible draw.
  • Ole Miss- Carolina and UK, not bad, though that is a tough trip to Lexington.

Losers
  • Arky- DEAR GOD. Adding #1 and #2 from the East. Might be a question if they win a game.
  • Feleipe Franks- Bad choice to go to Arky already, now imagine being an opposing QB in the Swamp, now imagine it's near the end of the season and UF has to win for the division. With Grantham blitzes...might just avoid the game with an already bad knee.
  • Carolina/Muschamp- That game against Vandy for the chance to be 1-9 is looking probable. I doubt Carolina wins in Oxford.
  • Tennessee- Brimingham said that there will be no end of the season Life Champions Run this year...Auburn and aTm, with a trip to the plains? No thank you. At least you get a trip to Fayetteville.
  • #FailState- I cannot understate how much I like The Pirate. However, based on talent, Mizzou and UK was already a tough draw. Now, you have Georgia on the road?
Does this season happen? idk. Does everything get pushed to the Spring? And if it does, do we just try and work back with the 12 game season? Could they do a season in the Spring and then Fall? I don't know, everything is up in the air so just cracking a few jokes and discussing what there is for now.

I bet Franks is thrilled about this matchup right now. Then after they get smoked the first few games, he'll be dreading it. Arkansas only won one SEC game in 2017, and they haven't beaten an SEC team since. I think they'll be lucky to go 1-9 this year.

Some school in Orlando likes to ignore asterisks too

How dafuq can you leave out Misery? They just added Bama and LSU.
The SEC went in dry on that one!

I don't know how long it's going to take to get the stench of burp bielema out of there. it's common knowledge that the coaching office still smells like pork rinds and sweat.

frankly the new guy they hired looks pretty stinky himself.
