I didn't have any problem with the Shield 9.0 right out of the box. But the Shield EZ liked to stove pipe. As she's approached 500 rounds it does it less. Maybe once a magazine. Still way too much. And being a 380 she'll need the entire magazine ;-)
The EZ has a light recoil spring (thus EZ to rack) however one would hope they've designed it plenty strong to feed. If she's failing to feed it's more likely to be limp wristing than the ammo. The Shields have a nice long feed ramp.

This is the issue that I have. It works fine for my husband but stove pipes for me and have to be very aware of how I hold it.

Jesus you guys could have warned me about loading these little pee popper magazines for the first couple times....I thought someone was playing a joke on me or something. Still can't get the 12th round to fit in either of the mags that came with the gun. Someone on a Sig forum said to stick as many as you can into them and let them stew in the safe for a week or so then go shoot them and they should be more cooperative....others said you're wasting your time without a loader.
Anyone experience this with a higher capacity conceal sized pistol?

I have to use a loader with both of my Sig 320's in order to load a full magazine. The M-18 9 mil is easier than the 40 cal.

Same deal w me. Those 15 round p365 mags are a workout. Still pretty new.

I do not find the p320 mags to be difficult.

Get a mag loader. The Glock one works well.

I have no problem with my Sig 15, but after all, I am a man.
Seriously, load it full and let it sit awhile, like a week or two. It will get better.

Checked out a Glock 463(?) this weekend. Smaller version of Glock 19. Damn thing was sweet. Fit my had really well and could get my pinky finger above the magazine. Not significantly bigger than my 380 auto.

Probably going today to the local shop and pick one up. Trying to find the same thing in .357, but price and ammo availability will factor into it. This isn't going to be my armageddon side piece. I have a 140 year old Colt .45 revolver for that. If I am going out, I am going in boots, trenchcoat, with a badass 45 in my hand.

I like the power of the .357 (have several revolvers) but in an ammo crunch, I have a feeling ammo would be next to impossible to come by whereas 9mm ammo would be easier to get.

Speaking of Sig 365. I woke up yesterday morning planning to buy a 365 XL Romeo. Even went to my local proprietor of such things with cash in hand. However they had sold the last one that morning. Being that it was my birthday I had to buy something so I ordered a CZ Scorpion instead. The 365 will have to wait until Christmas.

Probably a Glock 48. Or maybe 43, but those are pretty small and your pinky is usually dangling.

confusing. I missed something. you're trying to find the small Glock in 357 (presumably 357 Sig)? or something else?

for what it's worth I don't think they make the thin Glocks in 357, nor would I consider 357 Sig in any event.

How's everybody doing with 9mm ammo? I got 500 range rounds and 100 defense last week. Don't even ask what I paid for it because I'm too embarrassed to tell....don't think this gun will be getting fully broken in anytime in the near future.

BLUF: Run 1-200 of your range rounds through it just to smooth it out and get familiar with your weapon. Not great, not terrible.

Pro Tip #3474: Buy ammo when no one else is. I'm doing fine with 9mm ammo, but then again, I used to get mocked for being a "prepper." ;)

Super Pro Tip #7: A Super Pro has a "go bag," a "go box," and then a "squirrel ranch." Be a "SPIT" (Super Pro in Training) and at least have a "go bag."

Here are the "go boxes"... to get me to "squirrel ranch."

People like @AvgJoe understand what that tripod is behind the boxes. It's for "home use" in front of the TV watching football and makes sure you don't run out of 9mm... the "full shop" is at squirrel ranch. ;)

I understand the go bag concept well.
My tactical backpack has 390 rounds of 223 in mags and another 200 or so in 9mm in mags. All of my 9mm pistols can use the same magazines, which is very handy.

Glock 32 gen 4 is thin, ammo is double when you can find it

Nice. I wish shotgun ammo didn't take up so much space because when I "go" my dresser doesn't have wheels :banghead:

It's expensive online even when you can find it. Steel case for .60.rnd. Gonna pay closer to a dollar for brass. I've said before that I've had luck at a local large Gun & Pawn store that has plenty of ammo and hasn't raised the prices too much yet. But I'm looking for 1000 rounds under .50/rnd.
