How refreshing...but it better be Freddie Swain...that’s all I’m saying

16 has not been very good for the Gators. I'm struggling here.

Vernell Brown? "The face of the program"??? We had a LB wearing 16 about a decade ago but I can't think of the name.

Noah really only played a little his senior year. That season, he threw 6 touchdowns against 3 interceptions. Playing in a Spurrier offense. The WHOLE season.

Terry Dean and Doug Johnson each threw for 7 touchdowns in a single game. Wuerffel, Kresser, and Leak all got 6 in a single game. Pretty sure Kresser got his in the only game he ever started for the Gators.

So, uhh, yeah, I guess Brindise should be in the conversation. :dunno:

Alex.
I was honestly shocked he threw for 700 yards.

All I remember him doing was handing off while Drunk Dougie went over to the sideline too get his ass chewed by his Spurrier.

Nevertheless, Fear the Fatdog!!!

Then my memory must be fading because I'm struggling to come up with anything other than Swain and Vernell Brown. I can't even remember scrubs or backups wearing 16. Did Schottenheimer wear 16??? Some stud needs to take that number and make it great.

My guess is SD is referring to AJ Jones, bc you know, "Champions Lives Matter" schtick. Plus, it is a thin number spot. Butch Rowley would like some longsnapper consideration though. I'm guessing Ole Rob throws out Austin Hardin over Freddie Swain.

16 should be a combo # - Tebow plus Harvin. The most dynamic two-some in UF, and arguably NCAA, history.

700 yards man, in half a season. that's actually a good year for Fitzgerald or Driskel.

Without getting into his skill set (or lack there of), he really had a face more suited to being a linebacker or a fullback.

So do decisions of becoming Mark Richt's OC at georgia.

No thanks.

That's really a worse decision than falling in love with a stripper at traders and missing the team flight to New Orleans? But lets be honest with the way the OP is picking players it is definitely gonna be schotty

Honorable mention for Sorola Palmer.
you left now, but Sorola Palmer with 400 yd a year would be a goto target on most of our teams the last 15 years. Basically a 3 star version of Trevon Grimes.

I don't know if he can block though.

He mostly did that, but there was the one drive at Auburn that won us the game. Was worth it just for that...

Fat Dog is the hero for all the unathletic dudes out there.

I'm sure there had to be 10 guys on the team playing other positions that could throw the football better than him. I'm not really sure why Spurrier did that.

Maybe he's just had to prove to people he could win with a two-star juco.

1993. I played with Noah at Wingate College (now university). We both hated it. He told me he was going to transfer to UF. I said yeah good luck with that.

I joined the Army...the rest is history

He seems nice enough but he looks like he eats paste and pulls the wings off of flies.
