Oh heck no! If we let these Rebels, Bears, Sharks, whatever, score 28 on us, Grantham should be run out of town.
Oh, wait...
That’s the first time in a long time that the offense was not only sharp, but fun to watch. Trask, Pitts, and the offense looked fantastic. The defense looked like the special olympics.
Can anyone remember a worse defensive performance? Nebraska 95?
I agree with you on Stiner. The rest of the back 7 I thought their play was very uncharacteristic, especially for Wilson and Elam. Dean played better than Stiner. I’d play him at SS over Stiner ALL DAY. And I give two ****s about that roughing the passer call. When does Stiner not play like dogshyt? Answer: When he is not in the game. He just flat out sucks, week in/week out. All of our safteys suck. Yes the Davis call was not a good call but the roughing the passer call on Ole Miss was flat out a joke. Not anywhere near driving a guy in the ground, not hit too high or too low, it was a good play. But calls get fkked up every game. Deal with it. What is not different is that our back 7 sucks, year in/ year out.
probably would be less concerned if I thought it was just a rust issue.Agree. And just the add some measure of balance, many here and elsewhere spent about a decade clamoring that they “just want to see some damn offense”. Well, we got it. But plenty of us also said that winning 55-45 would be just as frustrating to watch as 17-13. Incomplete football is incomplete football. But this was still better.
It’s damn sure looking that way. After watching some other SEC offenses (a term I use loosely today) I am not sure we just didnt see the best in the league us, and then the Sharkabelles.
Trask is not the leading sec passer today. Costello shredding the lsu defense for 500+ yards.
Last thing I'll say on this except for a gracious acknowledgement when you rewatch it and publicly admit I was right.
I just rewatched it and Trask releases the ball as the defender makes contact with his head down. Sanogo drives big-bodied Trask back as he tries to complete the tackle. Sanogo never raises his head or changes tackling position. At the end of the tackle he picks up Trask's leg to complete the tackle, but did not drive him into the ground. It was a bad call. I'd be piiiiissed if they called that on us.
I'm a civilian, so it doesn't matter that you've spoken.
However, caution, you're on the same side as Law. That alone should make you strongly reconsider.

Wasn't late and he simply followed through with a textbook wrap up tackle. Refs probably threw the flag because it was the only form tackle of the day.It doesnt matter if his head was down. He cant head with his head (targeting) and just ducking your head or closing your eyes doesnt make it a legal play to hit a guy late "because you didnt see".
