Please Dan, Hire Dan Quinn as "Special Assistant"

Barring an absolutely stunning turnaround (like last year) the Falcons are 0-4 and Arthur Blank has got to be close to firing Dan Quinn. He was a great DC for UF and has had some good years in the NFL (albeit never seeming to fully recover from losing to NE in the Super Bowl in 2017 after being up 28-3).

Time for Dan Mullen to bring him on as "special assistant" ala Saban when that happens. It would be a great reunion from their days as coordinator for UM. Perfect way to nudge Grantham to a HC job.

Quinn will have another NFL job waiting for him. This is the Billy Donovan thing all over again.

Correct.

If he did come, it would only be to keep himself busy till the end of the season.

With Covid, why bother? Unless he wants an excuse to get out of the house and away from his family.

Alex.

I thought he was Muschamp's DC, for one year. Don't remember him coaching under Meyer. I agree that he's not coming. If he doesn't get another NFL head coaching offer, he'll be a hot commodity as an NFL DC. He could probably pull a Power 5 head coach job. He'll probably go back to Carroll to reboot.

I’ve always thought pretty highly of him since he was with us. I’d like to see him go work for someone like Bill Belichick and learn how properly run a team. We could hire him in 4 years to replace Mullin.

Let’s see. Speculative premise requesting something based on an event that has not yet happened, thought to be sweetened by a faulty premise, some hyperbole, misspelled words, and a random reference to an organized crime figure that no on really understands.

Yep. It’s Friday night on the GCMB.
