Mike Leach and the Air Raid were shut out by Kintucky. Cowbell defense scored 2 points on a safety.

Leach is already calling out his players publicly. Things aren''t going to end well in Starkvegas for the Pirate.

Actually it's going great that is Leach's brand.

2 weeks in a row that Cowbell has done dog dykk against teams that were well disciplined, willing to rush 3 and drop 8 into zone coverage and instruct players on how to do their jobs. Can you imagine Joe Lee Dunn Jr. trying to himself learn to play zone and then trying to teach this sack sack of shyt back 7/8 players to play zone for 70 plays. Would be hysterical. Think 4th and 30 against LSU when Brian Poole was lost b/c Muscrat set depending on the offense's team's look, they had a check with me. As I said then there is no check with me on 4th and 30.

Wait... what...

I heard from our GENIUS gator media pundits (Steve Russell in particular), that our bad defense was "just how it is in the SEC now." He had an entire 3 weeks of spotty evidence to back it up.

Your Steve Russell comment floors me, it doesn't surprise me though.

Has anyone ever lived anywhere that has such blindly obedient media covering the local sports teams?
Steve Russell, Pat Dooley, Buddy Martin, and Robbie Andreu just to name a few, make me believe that UF emails talking points to them each day so they have something to say.
This is beyond pathetic

You know when the administration is getting ready to let someone go when the Gainesville media starts to talk bad about them.

I like Leach and liked the hire for MSU, as they know they'll never be contenders so you might as well put some butts in the seats.

However.....

I thought it would take more than ONE GAME for SEC defenses to figure out the Air Raid. After lighting up LSU in the opener, did very little last week and SHUT OUT in just his 3rd SEC game to Kentucky? That's embarrassing and might be a frightening warning sign about the train wreck that is about to take place.

Think about it: A Mike Leach team that can't score points. Hide yo kids, hide yo wife.....

This isn't a surprise. Go back and look at how his teams did in the Pac 12. He had 4 winning seasons out of 8 and for every game his team scored in the 40s or more, you'll see a game (typically when they played one of the better conference teams) where they put up 21 or less. He's entertaining, no doubt, but his offense certainly isn't some juggernaut when going against an evenly matched foe.

I mean the probably is SOMETHING to this. For some reason everyone in the last 12 years thought it was illegal to throw the ball downfield until that Brady guy at LSU went Spurrier on them.
