Will he be eligible to play in '21? Does he have to apply for a waiver? This is a weird year and I lost track of what rules were suspended.
He has to sit out or get a waiver.

He is still a true freshman in 2021 and RSFr in 2022 however.

Tankers are literally so dumb the army put buckles on their boots because they don't know how to tie their own shoes

The NCAA is expected to make the 1 time transfer rule official starting in 21 - they tabled it in 20, with the "expectation" that it will be official in 21. We'll see. But I think after the push back they've gotten (from the Cade Mays and other cases involving high profile lawyers) they're going to pass it.

How much transfers have gotten media attention especially the last 5 years, which gave the NCAA a lot of press (some of it bad). It would free up their ability to rule on other stuff that doesn't make since if they allowed this to happen and had less waivers to process every year.

Lenton should have left after the bowl game so he'd be at his new school ready for spring and fall. One less Butters special on the roster....

It said by May 1st so hopefully it’s a go
Well but it depends on when it is effective. Ie if it says as of Jan 1 2021 anyone who transfers.... so long as they transfer by Mayxx each year vs some other wording.

It would make no sense to not grandfather all current applications for a waiver for all unprocessed first time transfers

This is the NCAA we’re talking about...when have they ever made sense?

Of course. But to figure out what they will do we have to first establish what the reasonable and obvious thing they should do then throw that out. I was just trying to establish the baseline.
