If you don't believe we can count the total number of people that died from all causes with death certificates tied to social security numbers that puts you solidly into tin foil hat territory.

No it doesn't. Your question was inferring died of a certain cause. Stop being a fuchstard who likes to circular argue.

And who is this 'we' you keep referencing?

Or maybe you inferred something that wasn't there and clearly haven't actually understood much of anything that's been discussed in this thread.

Ok. Again. No ... I don't think we can count all the deaths. Ever looked at a milk carton?

So you are wrong there as well.

Again ... who is this 'we' you keep referencing. Do you work at a morgue or something>

Are you suggesting the total number of deaths is wrong because it doesn't include missing persons who have possibly died?

Saw this too. Interesting stuff.

And guys, I know it's been said many effing times, the mask is not to protect you. It's not going to protect you from getting the virus. It's to keep people from spreading large droplets and contain some of the nastiness. I don't think anyone has said that you wear a mask, you're totally protected unless it's a mask that filters viruses.

Doctors wear masks to protect the patient, not themselves. Why is this so freakin' hard for y'all to understand?

You might forward this info to the director of the CDC, because he claims the mask is a better defense against the ‘rona than any vaccine will be.

"These actually, we have clear scientific evidence they work, and they are our best defense," he continued. "I might even go so far as to say this face mask is more guaranteed to protect me against COVID than when I take a COVID vaccine, because the immunogenicity might be 70%, and if I don't get an immune response the vaccine’s not going to protect me. This face mask will."

CDC head says masks may be better than coronavirus vaccine, implores people to wear them

Ollie, yes, that (1st bolded) very thing has been said and it (2nd bolded) isn't hard to understand, at all.

But, the "science" has vacillated on this issue since February and media have purported to distribute the "truth" about this issue since it started when in fact they've only distributed lies to promote their political agenda by instilling fear in order to ruin Trump's economy so he would lose in November.
[edit: BTW, for all of us Biden supporters, please vote November 4th. It's important!]

So don't blame the message receivers, blame the message creators for the confusion.
(edit: and don't even get me started on "infer" versus "imply")

The only vacillation that I'm aware of was when the initial call was not to have everyone hording every N95 mask that could be found so the front line workers would have the necessary PPE. When cloth masks began making their appearance the message was changed to help out by wearing a cloth mask or disposable surgical masks.

Well over 70% of those who tested positive said they ALWAYS wear a mask....of the remaining 30% half who tested positive said they wore a mask MOST of the time...this according to the CDC themselves...
The study you reference was for 300 some symptomatic people. More than half of those who tested positive also reported eating in a restaurant. Hard to eat while wearing a mask.

Good lord.

When a person dies, of whatever cause, a death certificate is generated. Believe it or not, these things are counted, not just this year but every year.

He didn't "infer" anything with his statement, which would be impossible because you can't "infer" anything by saying it. If you meant that he "implied" something, well you're wrong again. He said in plain english he was talking about the total number of deaths, which again is pretty easy to count. It is also a very steady and predictable number UNLESS something unusual is happening. I suppose there could be some other unusual thing going on that nobody knows about which has caused nearly a quarter million excess deaths in this country so far this year. Lots of motorcycle crashes for instance.

The way I see it, neteng has been patiently waiting—just over five hours at this point—for an answer to a very blunt question which nobody seems to be wiling or able to answer, preferring instead to jump back and forth between semantics and insults. So maybe I’ll get answer if I ask the question: have you ever looked at a milk carton? It’s a simple yes or no he was looking for there.

Lets face it, sofla is a national treasure.
