Not sure of the result, but the way ARKY plays and has been playing on both sides of the ball is very concerning on paper against us. Defensively they will play soft zone coverage the entire game, so we can forget about throwing numerous 50-50 balls. They don;t play man and they do not care what routes are run whatsoever. They are extremely well coached in zone and at least 6 of their defenders play defense with their eyes. They have numerous picks and it will not surprise me if they grab a couple in this game. Will Cousin Eddie be patient enough to run the ball (running lanes will be ample if you keep doing it) and will Trask be willing just to dump the ball down. Forget about hitting long wheel routes out of the backfield or 50-50 balls. ARKY does not care. Their guys play their areas and use their eyes to play those areas well. Our guys will need to run to the soft spots and sit down. There will be no man to man unless they are specifically chasing a particular receiver.
On offense ARKY does a lot of BS fakes, etc. and given our DB's penchant to fall for the banana in the tailpipe, would not shock me to see a few over the top wide open receivers. I hate to hope they don;t connect, but I can't hope that we will be in tight coverage the entire game as they will never happen.
Patience on offense, take what ARKY is easily willing to give you and play your keys on defense is how you must play. Otherwise it will be a tussle.
