Lot of rumors that this was a strictly cosmetic procedure - pretty selfish act if true.

In due time we all will get the full explanation. Perhaps his nose was shattered badly enough that reconstruction is required to assure proper breathing. My sister had a nose-smashed so bad by a baseball bat that it made a God-awful wheezing sound until surgically corrected. {She was a softball catcher.)

Damn. I wish I knew how to photo shop Michael Jackson's nose onto Kyle Pitts' face.

I broke my nose twice when I was a kid. Never had surgery because I could still breathe out of it normally. Just had a crooked nose for awhile until the second break a year or two later, which knocked it back straight. I didn't see any blood last week, so I'm surprised there was a break. My nose bled a ton both times. I wonder if it's something nose related, like a sinus cavity, but not because the nose was broken.

That hit didn’t break his nose. Has to be cosmetic.

So for the first time ever, we have a player missing games in the middle of a season for a completely voluntary, cosmetic procedure. I wonder if Trevor Lawrence will follow suit and finally get his boob job?

If he's out due to concussion protocols anyway, it's not a big deal. Of course something could've happened off the field too.

Who exactly said it was purely cosmetic in the first place? I betting his helmet came across the bridge of his nose and did some damage if anything.

Honestly, after a hit like that he might be wondering if it's worth screwing up a NFL career to keep playing. Selfish? Maybe but it is a business decision.

Finally, a voice of reason Doc, thanks for that...:jog:
