For the first time in over a decade, I actually have hope. As bad as the D is, and it’s really, really bad, this O can flat out score. I think we have a legitimate chance this year. It won’t be a Bama coronation in Atlanta this year. We’ll go toe to toe with them.

A few extra points: We lost our top 4 WRs from last year and Pitts was out. 10 different WRs caught 27 passes. Grimes finally looked every bit the 5* he’s touted to be. Henderson looks for real.

Those running plays that netted 1.5 yards last year against even UT Martin are getting 4-5 yards regularly. OL is much better with Reese.

Franks lived up to my expectations. He threw some great passes, burned us a bit (who doesn’t), gave up some awkward sacks, ran some awkward runs and gift-wrapped a scoop & score fumble. 15/19 is pretty accurate even against us, I expect he will get drafted, but he’s prone to mistakes.

The Trask story just gets better and better.

Even the change of uniform did not help Franks. Good talent, but a head case IMO. Couldn't help himself trying to talk shyt. Guess he needed reminding Arky just got their asses waxed.

He isn't aggressive enough with the ball and does foolish things like taking his helmet off after Shorter's first TD. He's a very seasoned player who cannot make those selfish, bone-headed plays. I'm glad to see he isn't just failing (and then moping afterward) like he was at the beginning of the year. Mullen deserves credit for steadily helping him mature. I hope Henderson continues to improve so he can fulfill his potential.

Care to provide details? I'm guessing he said something? I didn't notice anything inflammatory during the halftime show.

After the game there was a wrap-up show in which he and Joey Galloway picked their 4 playoff teams and of course UF wasn't on either list, which is fine. But when they were asked who they had as the first team "in" would be Joey Galloway, who ain't exactly a Gator fan, immediately went to Florida and the superb level of play by Trask and the rest of the offense in general. Well Jesse abruptly dismissed UF and went to phukking Cincinnati as being "clearly" the best team not in his current top 4. His tone and demeanor amounted to take number nine million and six of "I'm my own man and to prove it, I'm going out of my way to piss on my Alma Mater, yet again."

I don't really begrudge him his right to an opinion. I get it. He makes big money for going on TV, badly in need of a shave, a regular man's haircut and a properly fitted suit jacket, to blurt out whatever Canadian accented dooshery that happens to come to mind. I'm cool with that. But the long-standing, pro forma anti-Florida slant on virtually everything that pertains to the Gators is bullschytt, and he's been doing it from the moment he first stepped onto a TV set. I don't expect him to act like a shill for Florida. I do expect him to be fair enough to occasionally give credit where it's due, and he very rarely does. So yeah, phukk Jesse Palmer and the ugly ass horse he rode up on. End of rant.
