Tiger Woods scored a 10 on the par 3 12th hole today at Augusta. This is the worst hole he’s had in his pro career.

Why tournament sponsors continue to invite this weekend hack to tournaments is one of life’s big mysteries. If Tiger’s not careful & he doesn’t step it up, he’s going to find himself going through Q-school to earn his card...or be relegated to playing the mini-tour.

Discuss.

Tiger finds water 3 times, makes 10 on 12th hole
Wow. You're so jealous and butthurt for Tiger.

I wonder why they keep inviting him back? Oh, I know ... He won it last year you twattwaffle.

Well I stand corrected.
I found this....
“Nicklaus cranked a 341-yard blast to win the PGA Championship’s long drive competition in 1963 with the “old ball.”

Although not in tournament competition he did indeed crank one to 341 yds.
Writers taking liberty with the facts. Down wind and and down hill...maybe

Hands down, the GOAT.
Not even close to hands down, but I'll give you this: Jack and Tiger are the ONLY two in the conversation. The drop-off between the two of them and the next tier (Bobby Jones, Mickelson, Gary Player, Palmer, Snead, etc.) is as big as the Grand Canyon.

While everyone wants to talk about the Majors (18 to 15), I think Tigers all-time wins lead may be even more impressive - 82 to Jack's 73.

Can you tell me in today's golf who will even even approach half that total? Mickelson has had a legendary HOF career and he's only at 44. The leading active golfer? Dustin Johnson with a measly 24. Johnson won't even catch Mickelson, much less Tiger. I have my doubts that win record will ever be broken.

Mickelson in the next tier? Give me a break. Maybe the tier below that but Phil definitely isn’t in the same league as the guys you lumped him in with.

Mickelson has 5 Majors and 44 wins, that puts him among pretty damn elite company.

That’s a big part of the point. Tiger played a large part of his career against watered down competition. Nicklaus would have won 110+ against the tomato cans Tiger beat.

As far as the all time wins record (still a tie between Tiger & Snead I believe) being more impressive than Jack’s majors, I disagree. What I find more impressive than the all time wins is the number of majors Jack finished second in. Something like 20+ other majors he was banging on the door and came up just a little short. The guy was always in it...he was that damn good.

Nicklaus is the GOAT in my book, 19 majors is the measure.

But no one, not Nicklaus or Snead or anyone else, dominated like Tiger in his prime. He won majors and he won 25% of the tournaments he entered. And he certainly amped up every aspect of fan interest, as Arnie and Jack did.

Jack said, prophetically, that talent wasn’t the issue. Tiger’s big tests would be his health/injuries as he aged and his personal life. Spot-on.

I don’t think he’s done. If he can stay healthy he could win again.

I disagree. I’ll leave this here as evidence of why I feel so.

18 still remarkable stats from Jack Nicklaus' illustrious career

I’d take Tiger in his prime over Jack. For a sustained period, tiger had a winning percentage of around 50%. That’s Bananas.

but, jack had longevity and more consistency. Jack was runner-up a lot. Tiger was win or bust. So, Jack’s probably better, but Tiger in his prime was a force with no equal

I don’t think that’s correct, unless sustained period means 1 season.

This is hater nonsense, nothing more. Too dumb even to respond to.

Tiger finished second in a Major six times and finished in the Top 5 (outside of the 15 wins) twelve times.

Nicklaus finished second in the majors 19 times.

Nicklaus had 20 top 5 finishes (not including the times he won) in majors BETWEEN 1970 & 1980 alone!

For his career, Nicklaus has 38 top 5 finishes in majors EXCLUDING those he won.

I guess all the steroid use in the 70's really helped him out.

I know that's tongue in cheek, but Nicklaus was bombing shots at 17 and I think steroids would hurt your putting. Nicklaus was a hell of a putter.

So we've established that Tiger is no James Bond.
