Warning: Political Takes 2020-2021 NCAA Basketball Season

For all the Gator basketball fans in here - looks like season will start 6-8 weeks behind schedule. Very likely will be limited fan attendance.

I don't mind getting rid of some of those fluff games and even top non-conference games. 6-8 games, with 2-3 against good teams, is enough to prepare for the SEC and establish national results.

At least it'll be easier to limit COVID spread for 12 bball players vs 85 fball players, so less risk of community spread and games being cancelled.

Can't wait to see what Mike White has in store for us.

Good thing is my doc doesn't do them anymore. It's only a visual check as blood/stool tests have advanced to the point where they can detect prostate issues without the finger probing.

Have they been practicing? Where's the practice scouting reports? Is our Football success keeping us from realizing it's basketball season?
Seriously, I thought the season was cancelled until Spring. This article says Nov. 25, as you stated, la. So I'm super happy to hear that.
When does the 2020-21 college basketball season start?
When and who do the Gators play first? Here's the starting schedule:
11/25 - UMASS-Lowell (that's right, not the real UMASS)
11/27 - #4 UVA
12/2 - OK
12/6 - Stetson
12/12 - #21 Fsucks
12/16 - N. Florida
12/19 - FAU
12/22 - JMU
12/30 - SEC schedule kicks off with at Vandy
Only other non-conference game is vs. #15 WVU - 1/30

I have to admit that basketball season has snuck up on me this year due in part to the success of the football team.

Honestly though, CMW has really sapped my enthusiasm during the last 2-3 years.

Again this year, we look really good on paper but I am just not that excited at this point. Hopefully I will snap out of it.

Same here. CMW has destroyed my enthusiasm for gator basketball.

I love gator basketball but I'm not gonna allow myself to get hyped about anything until I see us actually look good. Last year's team had 4-5 future nba players and we barely made the tournament. Covid stopped the tournament so probably saved White an extra year. This is his second to last year if we don't start making some tourney runs IMO.

How can the basketball HC White let basketball get zero promotion? Is he ashamed of the team that he's put together? White has always expressed smothered inadequate enthusiasm = "go-get 'em". Earning his salary?
