You're seeing millennials in action all over the place now. Nebraska, FSU, Penn State, etc. I think a big part of recruiting is finding players who want to win, who have drive and desire vs players who have skills but DGAF.

Frost didn't seem to have a problem winning with millennials at UCF, the school he actually loved. I have no respect for the guy. He wanted to stay at UCF and caved.

Oh I think Frost made a huge mistake going to Nebraska. Has there ever been a bigger change in a coach? He had fantastic success there and he had those guys backs. He had his choice of jobs and he chose poorly. He went to Nebraska and everything changed for him. He's got no success, he has no clue how to fix it and he does not have his players backs. He's done for. I agree, he doesn't deserve respect. But I still maintain that many millennials have a lackadaisical attitude that is ruining many storied college football programs.

I still want DM to improve recruiting talent-wise, but this is the reason I'm glad his recruiting pitch includes, "no other program will make you work harder." If a recruit doesn't like the sound of that, that recruit is more likely to be a bust. We need talent who's willing to put in the work.

It's wrong though. Our preparation and S&C is very questionable at best. Bammer at least makes them work far harder, just to get on the field. You sure as hell aren't getting on the field to play DL at 215 pounds because you didn't bother working out.

No, no. Recruiting is just a matter of counting stars. Pure astrology.

I think this awful experiment will come to end soon, we all knew Frost would regret taking this job. He's spineless and buckled to pressure in taking it, so he deserves the beating he's getting. He's a joke and is now 10-18 at Nebraska. Fire him for cause, NU!

Scott Frost throws his players under the bus after loss to Illinois

Discuss.

I confess to having wanted Frost and still believe he would have done better at UF than he’s doing at ‘Braska, but I tend to agree with your assessment of him. Maybe not as big a bullet as we dodged with Kelly, but a bullet dodged nonetheless. I would never have guessed that of all the coaches hired after the 2017 season, CDM would have the best record three years later. Damn good thing I’m not an AD.

I think he going to have to go back down and try to build another small program.

Frost was an arrogant ignoramus for thinking he could bulldoze Stricklin into accepting the same UCF coaching staff that has ruined Nebraska to the point where the fans now think back nostalgically of Bo Pelini.

Oh! You want a coach who throws his players under the bus.
My point is, NU is one of the worst jobs in the nation because the fans constantly expect to return to their glorious NC past, even though it's over and will never return. It's now an impossible place to recruit to. Going there as a "savior" was a complete recipe for disaster and he had to know it.

He's still a better coach than Mullen, but his star is gone.
