Love C4 but gotta disagree with him in this. The last thing Marco needs is encoragement, or praise, or forgiveness.

Marco is the result of being constantly praised and doted on. He's probably been worshipped since Pop Warner ball and feels enabled to act the way he does because if it. He needs to be severely humbled right now and be told the world doesn't revolve around him. Once he figures that out maybe he'll be a good football player.

And he needs to do this transformation on someone else's team.

Tonight was the worst **** that I've ever seen.
Even worse than Chimp or Butters.
Because we actually had a really good team, and there is no excuse.

If it weren't for Marco we'd be almost a lock for the playoffs. We'd be going into the sec championship game undefeated. A loss to Alabama probably doesn't matter too much if Clemson loses to nd again.

To play devil's advocate... The shoe came off in his hands rather naturally during the action of the tackle. In the heat of the moment (you just made a big tackle, and then you look down and you're holding... A SHOE?) - what do you do? Considerately locate the owner and hand it to them?

I mean, ideally (and if he had ANY awareness at all, you just drop it). But throwing it back over towards the opponent's sideline isn't the most outrageous thing I can imagine doing when you're excited and celebrating with all that adrenaline going.

It's not like he threw it to injure someone, or ripped it off on purpose, or picked it up just to throw. I feel a bit bad for him b/c this was a TEAM loss (which he definitely contributed to) - but literally, EVERY aspect and unit of the team played a losing effort. The TEAM deserved to lose for how they ALL played.
