Agree. Let him go after ESD and the SECCG, move Gray to DC and target the next DC by early January. We may miss on a target or two, but honestly this will give us more transfer spots - and we need 1, possibly 2 DTs. I'd take an ILB and OT also, but that may be a little greedy. Either way, Fat Todd needs to go.

If it’s for a better option that we feel confident we have, honestly, it’s a Meyer move. We didn’t process kids back then, but I’d bet a guy like Black(who turned out to better anyway) had no idea we were continuing to try to flip Finch. Keep in mind it’s the ESD. If we can land a better player and he still has over a month to find a home, I’m good with that. We bag on DM for not having killer instinct, so we can’t really hate this move.

Now, let’s revisit this if we got trolled and Dan thinks the stripper “really likes me”.

Pretty sure you're correct on the Lsu part. And no, I don't necessarily like the idea of dropping a kid or forcing him out. But I would feel much more strongly about that if it were early Feb. For all we know, we may have told him we're pursuing other options and he didn't like it. Or we asked him to hold off in case we need to make other adjustments. In any event, he now has 2 months to find a new home. I do agree that it's cut throat, but as I said, we're constantly saying he needs to get more cut throat, so it's a bit ironic. We set Saban as the standard, and he let a kid fly to Paris only to ask him to gray shirt. In more ways than one, we're not at his level yet.

Also my Meyer comment was about him continuing to pursue options regardless, which is what may have been all we were doing here.
