Problem is, Trask won’t be here to throw it to him.

Why isn't it possible that Emory Jones will be a top QB in the SEC? That his combo of skills unleashed will take most possessions toTDs?
A good passer, a very good scrambler, and that extra runner who thins out the opposing defense for our other RBs - especially Lingard & Bowman?

I'm not even sure you know what year it is.

It's this year - always this year, until next.

D Black? Though, wasn't he a 4 star?
he was never a five star period he was never even close to a five star.

maybe he stood by a few five Stars once or twice before he failed out of high school.

If your a qb that wants to get in the league, be a first round pick. Who do you look to from Mullen's experience. Tebow was a 1st round flame out with a 3rd round draft grade. Dak was a 4th rounder who made the most of the situation. His previous offensive system wasn't getting players for the NFL game, Dak even mentioned it himself when discussing all the things the Cowboys coaching staff had to change and coach when he got to camp.

This has been the most NFL ready offense in Mullen's career and we don't really know if it's Mullen or Johnson's offense. I know in watching how Mullen conducts himself in interviews and when questioned by the press I don't think I would want my kid learning how to become a professional from a man who acts so unprofessional and lacking accountability.

As far as Muschamp getting kids, he must be great in person when it comes to selling his vision. Mushchamp shows his true unprofessional manner when stuff goes wrong. Compare his interviews in 2012 to interviews in 2013. I wouldn't want my kid being coached by him regardless of the position or sport.
To minimize Mullen's QB accomplishments is silly. He's shown he can win at a high level with pro style and dual threat QB's having had Alex Smith DT (#1 pick, NFL starter) Leak Pro (MNC), Tebow DT (Heisman, MNC, 1rd NFL) Dak DT (3 star, NFL starter).

And now he's taken a 2 star nobody Trask (Pro) and made him a Heisman candidate. If you think those aren't assets he can claim to recruits I don't know what to tell you. He's as good as any other QB coach/OC in the NCAA. So why can't he land a big time, 5 star QB?

*Yes I have questions about his ability to run an entire program but this is specifically a question about his ability to recruit.

And in this age of crazy $$$$ contracts...I'd take a chance with a low ball...High BONUS contract. One that won't require a buy out until you prove yourself....BUT that's the issue...They come demanding "BUY OUTS"
The flip side is they can walk if they do preform.

And what good is it if your DC has an defense that can't stop a team of blocking dummies?...First they need to know where to line up.

Mullen said 3 times players can play top level football at a "Premier" Academic university..."Where else can you do that?"

So we are "Elite"...How many Football Players get an ELITE Education? Sure some get an MBA, MD, JD, DDS...But they are few and far between and the 4* and 5* are looking for the NFL Pay Check.

Hey but this what UF is selling...From Fuchs to Mullen...Stanford not Bama.

Agreed.
And the only ones buying are the ones that are not elite players

And we are discussing his ability to recruit, the QB is the premiere position, and the one that requires the most professionalism. If we are talking any other position, it doesn't matter as much, but to be a QB at the next level to reach that second contract, you have to be a grown up (see Jameis as an example of the opposite).

Now if you are a 17 year old you see:
Alex Smith drafted in 06 when they were 3 and he is been an NFL journeyman are more associated to Meyer
Chris Leak not drafted
Tebow 1st round pick and then out of the league due to not being properly prepared, they were 5/6 years old at the time also more associated to Meyer
Tyson Lee - Not Drafted
Chris Relf - Not Drafted
Dylan Favre - Not Drafted
Tyler Russell - Canadian Football League Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Dak Prescott - 4th round pick - Dallas Cowboys who we now see his real potential he didn't reach under Mullen...
Nick Fitzgerald - Not Drafted
Damian Williams - Not Drafted
Keytaon Thompson - Not Drafted
Feleipe Franks - TBD
Kyle Trask - TBD

So when you are walking in to that 17 year old living room, talking preparing that young man for the NFL, you got Dak.

Trask is showing as a late 1st and high 2nd right now. But this isn't a qb heavy draft either. Last year he would have been a late day two to mid day three pick.

I'm guessing 2nd round especially for a team who will need a back-up.
