There’s two different models on the kitchenaid pasta attachment, the ones that are ‘squared’ on the sides have horrible reviews. Obviously the more expensive model (rounded sides) seems to be far more reliable. Mines been rock solid for a few years and gets regular use.

Good to know. The model I bought was junk but it fortunately broke in the first week so it was an easy return to BBB.

Meant to tell you this the other day, JDH.

If you want the old-fashioned southern biscuits.....order yourself some White Lilly Flour from Wally World. It's soft winter wheat, and as a result doesn't create so much gluten, which w/AP flour can make your biscuits hard/hockey puck-like. Plus, it's self-rising. The recipe on the bag (and their website is great, too) is dead simple, and perfect every time.

Smart!

I also use a bit when I make pizza crust for on the grill. It makes the dough a little bit fluffy in the middle instead of like a cracker, which is what happens with AP flour.

The biscuits w/pimento cheese on the WL website is killer. But only southerners dig it, because pimento cheese. I also put my homemade breakfast sausage in it (cooked before baking).

Missed you. AND your Beat the Leg Humpers Celebration this year.

We still use your pizza recipe often!

Getting the ribeyes prepped with Dale’s and Jones Ribeye Seasoning...

It’s a pretty good seasoning blend. A good 4-5 hour soak, then on the grill for lunch.

Part 2...

Steaks turned out pretty well. Not a traditional assortment of sides, but the brown rice, green beans, and the peas were good. Also had some sweet potato casserole. Nobody went away hungry.

Despite all the troubles we Americans are going through, we can still enjoy our family here in our neck of the woods. I hope we never have to endure what NY, California, and other places are doing with restricting gatherings. That suppression is far worse than any threat COVID poses in my opinion. God bless you all and here’s to a better national trajectory in 2020.

Thanks @LagoonGator68 ! Sorry about the date mixup. I guess either it seems like this year will never end or I’m calling for a do over! Better days ahead. Cheers!

Filet, scallops, broccoli rabe, garlic pasta, and garlic bread - together with some drink concoction that was delicious.
