And i think you should go back to elementary school and brush up on basic reading comprehension. What I said:
"Told y'all he wasnt going anywhere. Couple of our die-hard pumpers basically guaranteed it was already a done deal."
3 in particular were guaranteeing granthem was gone, one even claimed he had an inside source. Now it's obvious he aint going anywhere and as usual, those pumps were full of
And I'll state it again, by march all of those pumps will be telling us how keeping granthem was the correct decision... because that's what pumps do...
Good god man, you really do have a problem with basic comprehension. I didn't say any pumps are defending him NOW. I said in a few months when the dust settles and its clear he ain't going anywhere, their narrative will shift from he's already fired/he should be fired to the standard, "well tell me who better was available?" "Mullen knows alot more about football than any of y'all", "turns out it was simply poor players", "the virus was the real cause of the defensive decline", etc.
Based on what I see, support for keeping TG is about the same as your chance of dying from covid19.
I really enjoy 97.5% of your post but you seem to have a problem with anyone who has an opinion different from yours. Your first reaction is to throw out your favorite label, act like they are members of a conspiracy and mock them. Isn't there room for different opinions in your world or does everyone have to be a pumper or negator? I know, I know, this is what chat rooms are all about....... too bad that people who know a lot about football are mocked by others who have no track record of success Coaching Football, other that maybe playing Fantasy Football.
Carry on!
Wilson was captain at the coin toss of the SECC game, the week after costing us any chance at the playoff.
That's all that has to be said. **** Mullen. **** Grantham. **** Pussy Stricklin as well. When Mullen goes, ship Stricklin's ass back to Starkville as well.
While that may be true, this isn't peewee league. You don't pay someone 6 mil a year to let the player's feelings dictate staffing decisions.I'll be mad at him for sticking with Grantham, but I'd assume the players had a bit to do with that move. After the initial anger and frustration with him the guys that have played with him for years probably had a lot of pity for him as the whole world piled on. I'm not saying he didn't deserve that, but what I am saying is that both as a player and a coach there are dynamics to teams that may explain how that happened.
It's like Donkey here. Sure he is a miserable old *******. But he is OUR miserable old *******.
So Clark isn’t going to tell Cousin Eddy to choke the dog
That sounds like Cover 3 (zone) LB responsibility, unless you are playing combo. It can be done, but it won't be stopped y the guy lined up 12 yards deep. it will be stopped by the LB who has hook/curl responsibility.
It is, if he can't recognize that pic is just one of many that should be considered adequate proof to fire tg.
I've heard all kinds of excuses, "Oh the LB are in the gap showing blitz but they may have dropped out of it at the snap to cover the curl/stop routes". Really? There aint a LB on our roster capable of covering the 8 yd stop route and thats if they don't run a quick slant and then run right through a should tackle and then hurdle Elams ankle dive to a TD. No logical person would look at that set and think, "yeah, that's gonna be a tough throw for the QB to make". Billy Young would hit that route 7/10 times. It is, if he can't recognize that pic is just one of many that should be considered adequate proof to fire tg.
Mark Richt fired Third and Grantham after year 3.This is so mark richt of Dan
This offense should have won a championshipMy initial response to the DM hiring was disappointment and frustration that UF couldn't have done better - or worse, simply didn't try. After some incremental improvement in a dismal situation, I decided to give the DM regime a chance to show what they could do. Here, in my humble estimation, is where we currently stand after three seasons:
A. The defense, under the "guidance" of Tod the Clod, is a putrid mess with no satisfactory resolution in sight.
B. Recruiting is marginally improved, largely due to the transfer portal - but still not even close to championship level.
C. DM is apparently unable or unwilling to take appropriate action to rectify - or even recognize either situation. DM is therefore directly responsible for the continuing deterioration of the program and needs to be replaced if he goes on as he currently is. Unfortunately, I see little or no chance of a change.
D. Ox, and others are correct. DM is on course to near certain failure, but nothing is likely to happen any time soon. I'm thinking at least two and probably three or four years before the roof finally caves in.
E. Wasting this year's superb O because we couldn't field a half-ass decent D is a shame and a disgrace that no Gator fan will soon forgive or forget.
.
You're still holding out hope he's firing Todd?Ok , I've cooled off. It's gotta be coach speak.
