Really good hire for them. I would have taken him in a second, especially after learning some of Alabama’s structure the past few years. He’ll do well in Austin.

This also continues the perfect set up for OhSt. They play 4 games all year and are fresh, have their first round opponent’s head coach publicly disrespect them for some moronic reason to fuel things, and now will get a Tide team with its OC halfway out the door. Watch them be the first 8-0 NC since the 40s.

I’m still holding out hope Saban wins another this year and finally retires.

All that’s left is the Bear chase. He’s trailing by one.

$25m for the right to put up another $7m on Sark. What’s the price of oil up to?

As @YLGator mentioned, this is a perfect contrast between UF and UT. Two large state Univ.'s. UT clearly is a better job given everything going back 100 years to the present, but I use the comparison only to highlight the word "cares".

Yes I know UT has the money, but they see their 2 biggest competitors (ATM and OU), one in conference and one not ascending and at or near the top. They have a good product, but they choose to look at the product while on the field and not just the records.

UT cares. Beginning next season they will have 40+ MIL in coaching salaries whether they hire Sark or Brian Kelly (those were my first 2 words when I heard the news). Meanwhile we have a buffoon as a head coach, have to beg him to fire 2 low level assts., have ceiling tiles falling down in the offices and shag carpet from 1975 in our section 8 housing and need to find another 83 cents in the couch cushions in the AD's office to begin construction of what will be an outdated football facility if and when it ever gets completed.

EDIT: BTW if it is Sark, he better have a good group around him b/c if coaching at UW where the fans care a little and then at USC where the fans do not care at all until they are winning drove him to the bottle, imagine what those 10 Gallon Hat wearing asshats will do.

So what you are saying is he needs to win 2 more and then retire?

Only he knows, but driven coaches generally aren’t content to be equal. They wanna be on top.

Say what you want about Texas, at least they recognized they were stuck with an average coach and decided to discard of him sooner rather than later. I'm sure Hermans record against OU didn't help either.

It is sad to see the Texas and Floridas of the world relegated to Drunks and Dorks who will never win anything.

Yep losing all 4 games to Oklahoma sealed his fate. He probably would have survived another year if they didn't have that OT loss to Oklahoma.

@BruceFeldmanCFB: SOURCE: There is optimism inside Michigan that Jim Harbaugh's new deal will get wrapped up soon with an extension thru 2026.

@mortreport: Kellen Moore will remain as the Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator in 2021, bypassing an opportunity to return to his alma mater at Boise St as HC, per league sources to @WerderEdESPN and me. Cowboys expect to sign Moore to an extension, per sources.

@sbterry247: Bill O'Brien (former Texans HC, Penn State HC, and Patriots OC) is in Tuscaloosa today. No clue if it's in an official capacity, but interesting nonetheless.

@IAKOWRecruiting: If LSU gets Freeman I’ll be furious.

If LSU hires Barry Odom, while we keep Fat Todd, I will be furious.

Either basically guarantees our annual Corndwag and Regular Dwag loss though.

Good time for him to bail.

@RossDellenger: #BYU OC Jeff Grimes is the new offensive coordinator at #Baylor, sources tell @SINow. Deal is done. Grimes and Dave Aranda worked together at #LSU.

@PeteThamel first reported the potential move.
