No way are the Falcons interviewing, much less hiring, Mullen. Arthur Blank would have to be a complete moron and hellbent on destroying his team if he does this. Blank has already made so many mistakes over the past decade (hiring Dimitrioff, keeping Dimitrioff & Quinn too long, etc.). If he botches this hire, Blank won't be alive to see the Falcons play in another Super Bowl, it will take that long to recover.

I think its moot because it is a fake tweet...however...your logic is flawed. People who make stupid decisions have the propensity to continue to make stupid decisions.

Just look at the 247 composite for Christ's sake. It only counts players that actually are on the team. The actual ordinal ranking is not very informative.

2016 (79 players) Avg 87.42 Tot 798.44
2017 (83 players) Avg 87.73 Tot 795.72
2018 (84 players) Avg 88.28 Tot 835.84
2019 (78 players) Avg 89.10 Tot 835.68
2020 (85 players) Avg 89.91 Tot 871.05

Won't know 2021 until the fall.

There's a huge gap between us and the top. Bama, UGAy Are closer to 990 total points and 93 average.
Those top team yearly classes are worth over 300 points each season. We average around 250.

Until that gap is closed we suck.
This.

but people were spinning it that Butters had fixed the roster too.

I'm not sure what kind of logic it takes to come up with that decision.

is Dan incrementally better? slightly.

the problem is slightly isn't good enough. even he knows it now.

people get to UF and just think that UF recruits itself. there was a theory that we did in the 90s but I don't know that it's true. we still had some dogs out recruiting and Urban's staff was mostly ace recruiters.

I’m sure each of you are going to stop what you’re doing, quit work for the day, call your spouses/loved ones, and get black-out drunk on Zimas after I drop this bomb.

I’m no longer on the Mullen train. I think he plateaued, and our demise is imminent If he stays.

While processing major developments like this is necessary, it can be too much. The professionals found below are able to assist in these trying moments.

I don’t know which would be worse, blowing that lead in the SuperBowl, the Michael Vick controversy, or hiring Mullen.

I get it. There are a lot of different emotions swirling amongst the fans, the awful defense and Grantham’s doings and the appearance of Mullen being loyal to a fault and intentionally obtuse being chief among them.

That still may be true, in which case I’m willing to take on that risk. I’m convinced Mullen is an A-to-B guy. We need a B-to-C guy.
When it comes the the subject of Grantham I'd say Mullen is more of an A-to-M guy.

"I wasn’t happy when he demanded the Swamp be full or when he ran out onto the field at halftime of Missouri to berate officials or when it was revealed he had a show/cause levied against him or when he didn’t get his team properly prepared for LSU. But the thought that Florida would want a new coach is the Gidiots at their peak. Get a grip and hope that your current coach learns from his mistakes. Sheesh."

I just can't see this current administration hiring Freeze with his past NCAA issues. I really worry Stricklin would make another underwhelming hire when given the opportunity .

Here's a list of names being graded as hires on ESPN, granted it's ESPN but still, how does Dorky Dipschit Dan compare? Keep in mind, 5 of the 10 names below are black so there's got to be incentive to hire them and get some draft picks as well.

Eric Bieniemy (OC KC Chiefs)
Raheem Morris (Interim HC ATL Falcons)
Arthur Smith (OC Tenn. Titans)
Robert Saleh (DC SF 49ers)
Byron Leftwich (OC TB Bucs)
Greg Roman (OC Balt. Ravens)
Jim Harbaugh (HC U. Mich.)
Marvin Lews (Co-DC ASU)
Matt Eberflus (DC Indy Colts)
Brian Daboll (OC Buffalo Bills)

Jeebus some of those names are horrendous. Marvin Lewis is one of the worst coaches in history. Any team hiring him again as HC better be prepared to watch the fan base burn down the city.
