Does everyone understand the abilities are to speak any AND EVERY language you want, or to be able to play any and every instrument? Not that you can pick one extra language or one instrument. You can speak or play them all!

Maybe I wasn't clear. Or maybe I was, and you're knuckleheads. Probably some combination of the two.

I'll change the title from any to every for clarity.
I've traveled pretty extensively and found that I can learn enough of the language to get by pretty quickly.

Una cerveza, por favor.
Ein bier, bitte.
Пиво, пожалуйста.

I can also play hot cross buns on the piano. That's not enough to get by.

You already knew I am a knucklehead. Speaking other languages would be nice but I am not going anywhere so who would I talk to? Other than being able to read Calvin, Luther, Aquinas, etc in the original French, German, Latin, etc., I wouldn't have much use for it other than boosting my ego and confusing my dreams. Besides that their works have all been translated into english for the most part. Playing instruments is something I could enjoy when I am by myself or with somebody.

One could get some really interesting jobs if he/she were fluent in any language. Probably make a lot of $$ too.

Pro Tip #3986: Speaking every language would not guarantee that one would get laid. Playing every instrument and having the ability to walk up to a hotel lobby or bar piano and play it a la Richard Gere in Pretty Woman would increase ones ability to get laid exponentially.

Languages for me. I lived in the former Soviet Union working for a Dutch company. Although I had interpreters for business meetings, I was on my own for weekends. Shopping, parking cars and ordering in restaurants was an adventure. I had a tutor to teach Russian, though I didn't have time to study as much as I should have. And I studied Spanish in high school and college. I remember very little.

Every kid I'm around, I tell them to take their foreign language elective seriously. Fluency in other languages, especially Spanish, Mandarin and probably Arabic, really helps fast-track careers.

Fully concur. And like I said before, all the better in a country where you can't speak the language. What do we really need to talk about?

Music is the international language of love bangin.

How do you figure?

Reading yours and other responses, you have already answered this for yourself to a certain extent.

Ignoring the old adage that "music is the language of love", you don't have to have a conversation to 'communicate." Anyone can be impressed by good music, speaking the language, not so much.
