My web host is not an American nor is it an American company. How sad is it that I feel a lot more comfortable that it isn't? Sad times - I can't trust a lot of my countrymen.

I just finished the Gatorchatter books for 2020 - ad revenue fell almost exactly 50% due to COVID. Merchants obviously weren't paying as much for running ads, so payout per view/click was slashed.

That stinks. China and their flu cost you money. You should make up for it by burning a Chinese flag and posting video of it to Twitter. Just make sure you find a Chinese flag that wasn’t made in China, otherwise it defeats the purpose.

On second thought, maybe that wasn’t such a good idea. You’ll never find one.

I thought you said the recent management moves were not tied to revenue though?

People under 40, 45 years old have no clue how good the rates are right now....but it's caused artificial inflation of the housing market.

This is what my family is dealing with right now, we sold our home in September for $20k over asking, with a leaking roof. Now we are looking for our next home (living in a rental) and what is available and the prices are stupid. And if it is something that is not overpriced, it is something that will only be on the market for hours. In the last two weeks we have seen houses that were on the market at the time 6 hours, by the time we could turn around and turn in paperwork on an offer they were already under contract.

It's crazy. How long can this last? All the RE predictions I've been reading say it will keep on all through 2021. We're moving in a few months. Our budget is up to $850k-ish (I'd prefer a lot less, but the wife....). Anyhow, we're considering buying in a lesser desirable area in the $300k-$425k range and living in it for a year or longer until we see a 'correction' (whenever that may happen) then use the $300-425k house as a rental property.

Listen guys take this political crap to the PF where it belongs...this thread is for those of us smart enough to get rich while the Communist are in power...
Since I don't have any money, I normally avoid this section. That could potentially be changing so I'll be picking the brains of those who are smart with it. I'm not sure you are on that list, Crete. :ugh:

Investing in a startup AFTER they start making money isn't where the big money is at. You missed the boat on this one, I'm afraid.

This one isn’t my start up, unfortunately. Just lucky enough to be involved from the beginning.

You talking about the one that you mentioned on here a while back?

I take it you have heard some good news on that? Congratulations if so.
