Not sure if I want sports car or luxury. Like Ricky Bobby, I wanna go fast, but not kill myself. Ride is important.

So, looking for recommendations from some of the gear heads.

Some of the creature comforts would be cooled seats, blue tooth phone/music, well, that's about it.

The first one of you fuchsticks that says a Volkswagon beetle bug gets an internet kick to the nuts.

BMW M3 is a good mix of sports/luxury. You can find some ultra nice used cars here. You can filter results to sort the ones closest to you. At a glance in Florida I see two 1960s Caddy ragtops, a low mileage '97 Miata, a 2003 Coral Pink Thunderbird 007 Edition, and a 1990 Alfa Romeo Spyder w/ 47k miles at Hilton Head Island.

Cooled seats will really limit your choices and raise your budget. Music is an easy change to put in what you want. I'm putting a Sony deck in my '95 convertible

So are you a Mississippi State fan or a Texas A&M fan?

Alex.

Well as I suspected, this forum has once again proven what a worthless lot you all are!! I mean a Miata!! The only convertible gayer than a Miata is the VW Beatle, unless it is a 1970s version with the exhaust pipe sticking straight up with sand dune tires on it.

And the pimp mobile? Come on man!! I aint trying to have all these hoes up in my grill on the boulevard!! My pimp hand aint what it used to be.

Not sure what your budget is, but I have a 2012 Infiniti G37 Convertible that's been great over the couple of years I've had it.

Pros:
- Fairly quick in a straight line (0-60 in the 5s, 325HP, 275ish ft-lbs of torque)
- Good in the corners, as the car is built on a 370z platform.
- Good luxury features, though the tech is outdated now. Leather was standard with cooled seats, nav, Bluetooth, rain sensing wipers, radar cruise control, etc available as options.
- Folding hard top means no one can slash your roof to steal things and it's quieter with the top up.
- Back "seat" makes a good parcel shelf.
- Japanese reliability for everything but the roof (see cons)

Cons:
- Back "seat" will not really fit adult humans.
- Folding metal roof was subcontracted to a German company. It's not nearly as reliable as the rest of the car. In two years of ownership, I've had two roof issues, though none at all with the rest of the vehicle.
- Gas mileage is poor.
- Trunk is almost nonexistent with the top down.
- Pre-2012 cars have a potential engine issue. It's about $2k to do a preventative maintenance which permanently alleviates it, or you can buy a 2012+ car that's already good from the factory.
- They stopped making them in 2015 (name changed to Q60 for that year), so they'll all be out of warranty now.

Price ranges from $15-25k, depending on age and mileage. I'd recommend one to a friend - apart from the roof, all issues are pretty minor and it's a fundamentally good car.

So, another failed Jap/Kraut alliance?

Great info. I have seen some of these cars online and was really impressed. This is one that was on my list to look for.

Here you go,, sport. A 1966 Corvette Roadster with a 327/350 motor, 4 speed manual trans.
I have owned it since 1989. Bring $60k cash and you can own it. I promise you that it will only
go up in value.

The Lexus IS350c of a similar vintage is also one to look at. Less sporty, more luxurious, a bit more expensive, and it has a much more reliable roof. I haven't driven one personally, but it seems like a good option.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: that is the most ridiculous pool enclosure I've ever seen. You'd have to get a bank loan just to replace the screening. My entire house would fit under it.

You can forget cooled seats unless it's a very new, very expensive car. They are options on very few cars.
