Can't find a tweet yet, but starting FSU Sr. LB Emmett Rice tore an ACL in practice.

FSU just hired Randy Shannon as a Defensive Analyst. Not gonna lie, these are the types of moves that Mullen should be making, but instead we continue to watch rivals do while we bring on the occasional no-name from a small, regional school. Not only do we not get the ex-coaches that actually bring in some more knowledge and name recognition, but we continue to have a much smaller support staff. Very frustrating.

Ex-Miami HC Shannon joins rival FSU as analyst

I agree, getting former P5 head coaches hired on as an analyst is a good thing....but they can have Randy Shannon. That dude Peter Principal'd years before he became the head coach at Miami.

Took the words right out of my mouth. I've been vocal about wanting to see us add more analyst/support positions. But I don't want to see us add a name, just for the sake of adding a name. Randy Shannon is beyond outdated at this point. And frankly even his recruiting sucks(Brunson, Rayshad Jackson). Even when he did bring in decent kids, he made it about him not UF(Divaad Wilson). I expect the same type of passion and commitment from him at miami's other rival.

“Just run a vanilla zone and no blitzing”

I just did Randy’s job for him. Where’s my $300k?

UCF is probably paying Shannon’s salary this year. So Norvell gets a hook into Miami on the cheap and a free look at Shannon’s value and work ethic....

Seriously? If the hardest battle in your spiritual life is a torn ACL, you missed the entire point of the historic Christian faith.

Nah, I don't quite have that take.
We can say that with the benefit of added years of wisdom, but to a 20~ yr old athlete who's been playing football for most of the last decade as more or less a full-time commitment, this is a huge setback to to his dream and by extension, his present life.

Seems like the exaxt thing to reach out to God for, per our Christian faith.

Hate him with every fiber of our being for the disgusting and ungodly uniform he wears, by all means though. :D

@gatorev12

Yeah, a bit of an overreaction on my part. I just hate fsu so much. I can’t help it.

The struggle is real:
1) on one hand, the call to be good Christians and to forgive the obvious moral and character deficiencies of the criminoles.
2) the justified hatred of all things fsu and the desire for them to burn in hell.

I, personally, lean towards #2 most of the time.

He had a long string of hits.

That running back that started to quit in October of his true freshman year then did quit the next year.

The shytty Jawaan Taylor?

There was a probably two dozen of those Randy Shannon specials we stole from Sunbelt or Div 3.

I've been seeing a few 247 CBs for 4 and 5* recruits to f$u. The nole$ seem to be gaining some momentum. Not sure how much, but I was hoping the string of 2* offers would continue.
