Vandy will recoup that money through the Garth Brooks concerts they hold in the stadium.

FSU looking to add seating options, club level, etc to Joak Shambles:

Doak Campbell Stadium: FSU shares renovation plans for football stadium

The main issue at Doak this renovation would fix is providing more different seating options, price points and gameday experience options for fans who attend games.

"It's very important to develop a more diverse range of products. A good stadium has seven to 10 different (seating) options that you get to choose from. Really, right now we're at three: a seat, a club seat or a suite," Alford told the Democrat.

The main areas that will have seating options affected by this renovation would be the south end zone and the west (home) sideline.

The west sideline would see some seats close to the field on the 50-yard line taken out and replaced with a field-level club. The seats in this area, which are currently all bleachers, will be replaced by chair-back seats in a club area, premium loge boxes (private four to six-seat open-air boxes) and premium sideline suites.

As for the south end zone, FSU would be creating seven different seating options. These would include cabanas, ledge seating, standing free porch seating (fans would have a place to stand and a table to lean on and put things on but no seat), both premium and regular loge boxes and club seating with sofa-like cushions and phone chargers in each seat.

Changes will reduce stadium capacity, may affect some long-time fans
This renovation would also allow FSU to improve much of the gradual infrastructure of the stadium. Some of the many issues with the current infrastructure brought up by the survey results included restroom conditions, lack of handrails and concessions, WiFi and seat comfort.

The expectation is that these renovations would reduce the capacity of Doak Campbell Stadium from nearly 80,000 to around 70,000. But Alford sees it as a net positive as it creates a more premium experience for a number of fans.

It's not something that is locked in yet, but Alford says the estimated timeline would be that these renovations would be done just in time for the 2024 football season. The state of the stadium means it could be finished entirely between November of 2023 and August of 2024.

Pipe dream. That program is flat broke. They don't have the money to replace their stadium bathrooms with portapotties at the moment.

Why Alabama’s dynasty will never really be over

This article is unfortunately probably mostly true and it has some more staggering numbers. I don't feel like reading it again and cutting and pasting.

It just highlights the difference with a program dedicated to winning and a program dedicated to being the cheapest motherfuchsers in the country and occasionally beating Kintucky or LSU and claiming that makes us great at "X's and O's".

The results:

Wait a minute I was told * dont matter. I dont see a team that's won a title the last 10 not on this list. And the team with the most titles in that span has by far the most 4/5* players. Have I been lied to this whole time?

I get your point and agree, but Texas, USC, Notre Dame, and Michigan are on that list, and other than the annual Notre Dame hype train each of them has made about as much noise as a mouse fart over that period. You can't just get the players, they have to be developed. We've got a lot of folks telling us it is either or. It ain't.

They've only been an FBS program since 2016. We announced the facility that we still haven't built before UMass was even an FBS program. Over the past 5 years, we've had SEC Network revenues while UMass was a fledgling FBS independent, but somehow UMass got theirs done first.

I never said that it got you a title you still need coaching, but it's a 100% fact that in the last 13 years no team has won a title without being majority blue chip players.

Clemson in 2016.

UF recruiting up to that point averaged 10. Clemson was 11 over the 4 years prior to that.

But your point is solid. You have to have the horses to pull the wagon. You can only work so hard to develop 2 star talent (Kyle Trask, even though I think in hind sight he was underrated coming out) before God given ability takes over. I would rather have talent, coaching stability, and development.

No lie dude. I think we're so shell shocked we believe it is an either/or. Clearly there are great recruiters that don't develop much and solid coaches that can't recruit. We can find a solid coach that can recruit - or at least get him a staff that is going to recruit well. It will take a different culture in the UAA that expect and is willing do prioritize football to make it happen though.

It's ridiculous! CMU is broke. They shut down some of their men's programs last year, to the point where they had to get a waiver to continue to be a D1 program (because they didn't field the minimum number of men's sports). I'm not sure if this was planned before Butters arrival, but it's damn sure finished before ours (and almost before ours was even started!). As Foley said, "we're not getting into an arms race" - and he wasn't kidding!

Butters got fired for questioning the administration's commitment to football.... one of the few times we got honesty out of that fuchtard. The Death Threats just reduced the buyout.
