Y'all falling for the pump fake.
This is the NFL draft. It's all about misinformation.
The only two things we know for sure are Trevor Lawrence first to the Jags and Zack Wilson second to the Jets.
Justin Fields and Trey Lance have a lot of growing up to do. Tons of potential, but they barely started any college games (and Lance played against terrible competition). Mac Jones is the most polished but has the lowest ceiling. He doesn't have elite arm talent. Niners pick a QB, probably Fields or Lance because they've been talking too much about Mac Jones. It feels like a misdirection. After that...
Watch out for Penei Sewell. In terms of value to an NFL team, the highest paid players are quarterback first and then left tackles and edge rushers. There is no stud edge rusher in this draft like a Chase Young. There's also no stud lock-down corner. Once you get past the first 2 quarterbacks, you have 2 tackles (Sewell and Slater from Northwestern) and 2 receivers (Pitts who is listed as a tight end but compares to Megatron, and Ja'Marr Chase who was better than Justin Jefferson at LSU and Jefferson just killed it with the Vikings last year). Those are the best players. They are better players than Fields or Lance but quarterbacks are overvalued so somebody will reach for them putting the teams who don't need a quarterback in a very strong position to get talented non-quarterbacks.
This is a talented and deep receiver class. You can get a stud receiver later in the first or in the second or third rounds. Stud left tackles are far more rare. If you're the Bengals, do you want to draft Ja'Marr Chase and reunite him with Joe Burrow or would you rather draft Sewell to keep Burrow upright and healthy? I'd be very surprised if Sewell got passed over by the Bengals.
