" Jerry Jones "infatuated" with him!"

Oh great! A Jerry Jones endorsement! Now that has to be the kiss of death.
The same guy that was gaa gaa over Johnny Manziel (aka Johnny Football.)
That was until Berry Switzer talked some sense into him, calling him arrogant,
undisciplined, over-hyped. Johnny slid way down the pecking order, ending up
with the hapless Cleveland Browns. Last heard he had signed on with "The Zappers",
a team from some upstart "Fan Controlled" football league. "THE ZAPPERS"!!
Somehow, that just seems appropriate for the guy that has always been his own worst enemy.

If anyone spends a 1st round pick on Toney, they’re complete idiots.
Toney seemed to catch lightning in a bottle. He peaked at just the right time along with Trask.
In the NFL, however, where you compete with the top 1% of the football talent in the country
I don't see him duplicating the success he enjoyed in Gainesville. If he thinks he took a beating against opposing SEC teams, just wait until he makes the move to the next level. We shall see if he can hold up against the head hunters that populate the rival NFL teams. Honestly, after a short stint in the NFL, I see him ending up with some Arena Football team. Trask has a much better chance of making a career for himself in the NFL.

For Toney it depends on where he lands... if he lands with the right coaching staff he can be used properly. With the NFL being more hands off from a DB perspective it only helps his game. Athletic Talent wise he has first round athletic gifts, but there are only a handful of offensive minds in the NFL that have shown they would be able to use an non-conventional talent like Toney. If he ends up with a team like the Saints where the offensive mind runs the teams/roster he could do very well, if he ends up with a team like the Cowboys, Bears, Iggles, etc... he won't make his second contract.

Seven-Round 2021 NFL Mock Draft: Four QBs go in top 7, joined by Kyle Pitts, Ja'Marr Chase and Jaylen Waddle

Today:

Pitts at 4 to Falcons

Toney at 27 to Ravens

Forsythe at 94 to Cheifs

Trask at 98 to Saints

Wilson at 117 to 49ers

Davis at 169 to Browns

Grimes at 186 to Jets

McPherson at 225 to Iggles

also on the Board;

Franks at 187 to the Falcons

not on the board:

Slaton

Slaton is getting mocked anywhere from the 4th to URFA. I think he goes between rounds 5-7.

Forsythe moved up the boards because of the UGly and bama games.

As I has said before, Trask’s lack of athleticism and arm strength are killing him.

I think Slaton should be a solid 4/5 rounder due to size and skill. Agree on Trask, but he has a lot of money to be made as a back up/occasional starter. Also the comps on Trask, which everyone who claimed he was a sure fire 1st rounder last year, have always been the same. Mullen was doing the ESPN carwash and Cowherd show yesterday/today (?) and basically said that Trask is in better shape than at anytime during his time at UF now. Which raises a whole group of other questions.

Yeah, lot of speculation that Trask could actually sneak in to the end of the first round. I personally don't think he makes it out of the 2nd.

Other than Mike Tannebaum and Dan Orlovsky, both of ESPN's Get Up show, I haven't seen anyone that has him in the first round in the last month. Most mocks have him in the low 2nd to high 4 round range.

Sofla loves the idea of Wilson in an Iggles uniform. He has already got his custom jersey made.

The 2021 NFL draft is quickly approaching, and most of the pro days are over. Teams are starting to lock in their rankings. That means it's time for an updated mock draft with everything I'm hearing two weeks out from Round 1 on April 29.

I'm expanding this projection to the first two rounds and making predictions for Picks 1-64. That means I'll hit 31 teams this time, with the Seahawks and Rams both missing their first-round pick due to trades. The Texans are the lone team that doesn't have a pick in Rounds 1 or 2. But the Cowboys could be joining them in sitting out Round 2 as sources say they are likely to give up a 2nd and 3rd Round pick to Denver to move up from 10th for Florida Safety, Donovan Stiner. The "Stine at Nine" mantra has gained traction the past few days and Dallas isn't about to let the Broncos take what Jones has described as "their man". It's looking like the only lock in a still very fluid Top 10.

Trash is better than some of the first round guys. Late first round would be better for his career anyway.
