Sorry if MOM

That’s what ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith thinks, at Smith said of Tebow, “let me be the first to say, I don’t give a damn how you feel. I mean what I say. It is white privilege.” He added, “There’s no way to eradicate white privilege without white individuals giving up some of their privilege.”

I’ll be honest, I consider giving up some of my “privilege” just about every Monday as I get up for work. And don’t even get me started on Thursdays or nights like last night where I was consumed by work until after 10pm. But I don’t. As a man, I consider giving up my privilege as a husband just about on a daily basis as temptations present themselves. But I don’t. And as a father, who consistently takes a back seat for my children, I occasionally consider giving up that privilege for a life without taking care of my responsibilities. But I don’t.

In all these cases, there may be a momentary, but fleeting, moment where the narrow path less traveled(that was for you NOLA) seems less attractive and I could just give up and blame everyone else for what my life’s become. I choose not to.

That’s my privilege.

Just further proves you’re a racist, white privileged SOB. Jump in for the big win and quit your job and avoid all responsibility!

I believe that a privilage is some advantage every member of a group gets just by being a member. Like the ability to use the political forum by being a member of this group.

Since many white people are not successful, use drugs and are not wealthy there is no such for that group.

Now TIm does have Gator and Christian advantages and of course the best one the Tim Tebow advantage due to hard work and talent.

I really doubt that Tim would accept advantages that he did not earn especially in playing football. If he is not contributing I bet he will retire. Only time will tell!

Tim has accepted every disappointment in his life with grace. He will work as hard as he can and accept the result either way. How can anyone not respect that?

his wife told him I only put three inches in her mouth.

I was just trying to be kind.
You’re no Barry McCochiner are you? :)

But back to the focus, @soflagator ’s post on privilege hit the bullseye. Bravo! To the contrary, the real privilege seems to be the ability to decide not to meet any responsibilities and if there is any backlash, your out card is to simply cry “racism” or “white privilege” (ironically). Meanwhile, the perpetrators continue their Bohemian lifestyles on somebody else’s dime and the vicious cycle remains intact. The only cost to them is their casting as whores for the leftist / liberal agenda. The pay obviously exceeds any intrinsic need for betterment.

Because to the group that doesn’t respect it, doing things the right way, working hard and accepting disappointment with grace, is at complete odds with everything they stand for. Rather, they prefer to go against the grain, choosing instead to not work hard, complain to everyone else when said strategy fails, and then burn stuff, because they're mad at their parents for being "mean" to them as a child.

It drives them crazy to see Tebow, or anyone else for that matter, not following suit.

Only thing I would add to your list is: zero accountability. It must someone else's fault.

Stephen A Smith's opinion is what ever he is told to have that day. A week ago he was praising the idea, while bashing Max Kellerman's disagreement with it. Dude is a fraud... just like most the talking heads. The ones that are consistent in their message and step back when they are wrong are the only ones that are worth a damn.

Why do you think networks like ESPN, Fox, etc...Are tanking? They haven't a clue.

I liked the SEC Network before the games...but without Tim...Why Watch?

They keep this Equine Feces up and watch what happens?

Look at what happened to Oprah after going political...once the wealthiest woman in America...lost 50% of her viewership overnight. 50% of Conservatives now say FOXNEWS is no longer their favorite.

I used to love ESPN, Monday Night Football, the NFL...Now I don't even watch. But I will watch Tebow IF he makes the Team...And maybe Trask.
