For years, my gameday drink was Captain and Coke. Then 15 years ago my wife and I were visiting north Georgia apple country and bought some cider. A friend suggested putting rum in the cider instead of coke and a new gameday drinking tradition began. The last few years I’ve also put Beam in the cider, which is also a good drink for a fall Saturday.

Really depends on the start time for the game.. A noon or 1 pm game I usually start the day off with a solid Bloody Mary. I may migrate over to a couple of Yuenglings, then top it off with some Crown depending on how the game is playing out.

For a night game I usually try to pace myself by having Yuenglings throughout the day... slowly mind you. At game time it's an Angel's Envy Old Fashioned.

I’ll be having my first OF of the season tomorrow evening-ish. Not sure on the bourbon, but with the AE rye, you really don’t need any simple syrup. It’s a great choice for that drink.

I'm sure you noticed which bottle has seen more activity....;)

Anyone into Negroni?

Yes. That or some other variation with gin is my go to in Spring/Summer. I’ve always used Nolet but discovered Malfy this summer and really like it. I just associate it with warmer weather. Once the season kicks off, I tend to switch to bourbon even though it’s technically still hot.

What’s the question? Is it “What is Negroni?” or “Are you really that gay?”
Does it make me gay if I know what Negroni is?

I’m just messing with you. Negroni is actually a good pre-dinner cocktail. I was questioning it as a pre-game drink.

Was thinking of something different while watching the game. Browsed a bartenders’ guide. This one looked pretty good. Also seemed very appropriate…
