Its gotta be a good thing when the coach can just dive in the pool and beat your ass at what you're trying to do.
You evidently haven't seen recent pictures. She's pushing 3 bills now. If she dove into the pool she would empty it.

If you like the shape of a teenage boy, ok I guess.

We're not comparing them to Sofia Vergara. We're comparing Olympic champion swimmers. Sure, I'd prefer a little more fat and a little less muscle on her, but Dara is beautiful, even in her mid-50s. Katie is...an amazing swimmer.

Alex.

Idk about the rest of you, but it's been cool having multiple prominent Gator swimmers win multiple golds and other medals in the pool over the last few decades. Dressel, Finke, Lochte, Torres, etc.

Bringing in a world-class athlete like Ledecky here to train & mentor Gator swimmers is going to continue the winning tradition since there's no doubt she's one of the all-time greats in the sport.

She aint gonna train anyone. She just wants a pool to swim in and a coach to coach her.

Even if she only has an indirect role, just by being in the same pool and workout facilities, she'll benefit the program. College kids can see what it takes to be the best from one of the best. Some will learn, others will not.

not really doubting you but.. where did you get this idea?
is she not setting herself up for a "Muschamp at Texas - Coach in Waiting" situation?

She is training for Paris. She wants to be coached by Nesty. 'Volunteer coach' means free pool to swim and train in. I bet she isn't the only one moving to town to start training.

"Having completed my college degree this year, I am moving east to be closer to home and family," Ledecky, 24, said in her post on her move to Gainesville. "I've decided to train at the University of Florida with Coach Anthony Nesty and the outstanding mid-distance and distance training group there. I'm looking forward to the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead in the next phase of my swimming career."

Nothing different than a lot of sprinters who come to Gainesville to work with Coach Mouse.

Nope...not at all. Its great for the program to have people like that working out around campus. Ive coached swimming before (and running and cycling) and there isn't a whole lot of 'coaching' going on at this level. I mean, yeah, its coaching but its not a team sport and it is purely technique and fitness. Im not even sure they will have her in the lane with the college kids but I am sure the smart kids will be watching and observing everything she does and our coaches will take advantage of it.
