@Swamp Donkey, you got there early for a good seat on the Mullen Suckswagon, but it didn't take Sherlock Holmes to deduce that a mediocre coach was likely to produce mediocre results. Don't pretend it made a difference who UF hired. You were going to make a career out of b*tching about whoever it was, regardless. As you will about the next guy.

That said, I saw something new when reading this thread. You actually threw out the name of a prospective head coach you supposedly like! :eek2:

So, now that you have suggested Joe Brady, go ahead and tell us why he sucks and is a horrible hire. C'mon, everyone knows that's what you'll be saying as early as Day Two of his UF tenure, if not (very) late on the evening of Day One. What's Brady's nickname going to be? Marsha, Jan or Cindy?

I don't love the Zook example beings that he was a shcit coordinator. But yeah , I'm sure I could dig up more mid major flops too. That's why I'd have zero interest in Chadwell or fickell.

I'm not a fickel fan, but at least he was the interm coach at tOSU.

Bobby (Petrino I assume) hasn’t had a successful season in 10 years and now coaches at Missouri State in the MVFC Conference, whatever the fcvk that is…so no thanks on Petrino either.
I think the “Bobby” he means is Stoops. There is no way he could mean Petrino. That knucklehead has been tossed on the ash heap of CFB history.

And barely made a bowl game. Actually I think they ended up with a losing record in his one year as a interim hc

Just saying a guy who is from a mid major, who does have some P5 experience. I don't like him for UF, but he would have resume wise a better understanding of what it takes than a lot of other mid major coaches.

His loser-mentality clock management in the bowl game last year against UGay would have pissed everyone off on this board.

It would hard for me to support a coach with the last name of "Fickell" for obvious reasons, as well.

Bring on Hugh Freeze and all his baggage. At least he beat Saban once in awhile.

I don't think he is a SEC coach, or at least a top tier SEC Coach, but he would fit in well with the Big 10 mentality. Play to get a small lead and bleed the clock (sounds like our current coach). Has an understanding what it's like to be a CEO of a top 5 program.

But does he like Star Wars? Can he misuse talent like few others? Is he abrasive and arrogant? Does he have a catchy nickname such as "Fool Hand Luke" or "Luke the Puke"?

Man Dullen's successor is going to have some big clown shoes to fill.

Let's be honest, you don't have to know Star Wars to have a student admin go pick you out at costume out of the bargain bin at Wal-Mart.

Getting rid of incompetence in the real world is considered “firing for cause.” In college football it’s considered the cost of doing business.
Football has to be the only job where lack of production or outright laziness isnt a fireable offense.

Does bad experience count for some experience? Shcit Jim McElwain has "some" p5 experience but I sure as he'll wouldn't even want coaching my little league team.
