I don't think it's a secret as to who might be available if we asked. They won't hire a retread failure. I am one that believes we aren't ready to make a change even though it's no secret mullen is a disaster and a fool with zero credibility and HC acumen. But until the next great coach is available we probably have to grin and bare it.
Agree.

Dafuq? Goldkamp was calling for his head a few days ago AFTER he fired these two losers. The first sentence is "While results will have to follow on the field, Florida coach Dan Mullenhas struck the right cord and taken clear responsibility for the program's issues this season that have led to a 4-5 start and ultimately the dismissal of two long-time Mullen assistant coaches."

Stricklin has told the media to back off.

MuLLLLLen isn't going anywhere boys.

I couldn’t care any less what Stricklin has said. He doesn’t get to make that call. The local writers don’t wait for him to give the go ahead. They make the call to take the gloves off or leave them on based on whether or not they feel they’ll have to go groveling back in the future and based on the temperature of those that do make that call. As you said, Goldkamp has already bashed him mercilessly. So any damage to the relationship is already there. At the end of the day it won’t be Stricklin making this decision any more than it was Foley in ‘04 or ‘14.

I think Goldkamp still believes he needs to go. Look, IF...big if...Mullen stays next year, then that is the current state of affairs and also what people who write stuff daily have to deal with. And until things change, then they'll write about something else. Unlike this place which is generally detached from reality and allows folks to bloviate emotionally over and over the same thing. I want him to go because I want the Gators to do well. If he stays I still want the Gators to do well. Because I accept that he may stay and I still want the Gators to do well doesn't mean I'm happy Mullen is still here. It just means that I have a firm grip on the reality of the situation and there's not a lot I can do about it. I can continue to hope my Gators do well in spite of not liking the coach or I can whine and throw a fit 24/7 because I didn't get my way.

I haven’t been lectured like that since I put the empty milk jug back in the fridge.

Grown, on their own...with their own fridge...children.
Same here. But man the weirdest stuff happened when they were around. Empty milk jugs in the fridge was common. One time my 5 year old was told to throw away a frozen bass, which caught and insisted we keep. A couple days later the house started to smell awful, mostly from the garage. We found it behind our water heater. Yep kids are fun.

My take is the Big O “scheme” guys all think they are the smartest guys in the room. Neglect recruiting and basics. Always thought Mullen and Grand Masterless G thought of themselves that way.

Well, if we are grabbing an Offensive guy we should grab one who doesnt finish 50-70th 90% of the time.

Gatorcountry is EVISCERATING Mullen. Spivey is killing Mullen. Says his offense sucks.

listen to this. My favorite quote from it is Spivey saying that Hevesy is hot trash. Every single offensive lineman rates under a 60 on PFF. Seven South Carolina lineman rate above 60. He said any salary above a nickel is throwing money away with Hevesy. This podcast is right after the game. Before Hevesy was fired.

Spivey usually never trashs anyone.. He is like two seconds before Dooley to recognize the end is near.

He’s absolutely attacking this entire staff. They’re saying that Dan is checked out and he needs to go. He said even if Hevesy and Grantham are fired that it doesn’t matter. They think Dan needs to go. Grantham needs to go. Hevesy needs to go. Nick Savage needs to go. And Stricklin needs to go.

They’re saying he’s been in the SEC for 13 years. He is who he is. And nothing is changing.

If you haven’t listened to it, do it. Just play it while you’re driving in your car. It’s a really good listen.
