We get so effing hung up on passing stats that we forget the whole idea is WINNING games. We had the #1 passing offense in the nation last season and won nothing.

I couldn’t care less about passing yards. I’m just completely uninspired by a coach that plays second fiddle in the Sunbelt. Never even heard of the guy until a couple months ago. It’s just reeks of taking the cheap easy route.

I'll never understand why we'll go and interview coaching candidates, but how often do you ever hear the candidates coming to campus and touring before they make a decision on an offer? It seems like they make a decision "sight unseen" and a virtual / power point presentation cannot paint the full picture of what campus, facilities, etc. are like. I'm old school and I like kicking the tires and if we're talking millions of dollars yearly for x amount of years I would just want to check out the school face to face before signing a contract.

With ANY competent DC last year's team was competing for a national championship. You have to go back YEARS to find a national champion without an excellent passing offense.

Coaches are still employed in a 7 day a week profession (except for Mullen). They can’t go out touring campuses. I don’t think their team, ADs or fans would like it very much either.
