This take is moronic, even for you. He's set to have the #1 recruiting class in his conference for the fourth straight year.
In his conference

It’s a valid point, no?

Who is he competing against for these recruits?
Certainly not Bama, LSU, Ga., A&M , Auburn or even Texas.

He’s bringing in the 2 stars.

Sort of a leap to say the guy can recruit when
All the hub Bub about his style is “comfortable”.

This guy is Norvell and Taggert, hell, he doesn’t even rise to Beamer level.

they were both at their schools 2 seasons before getting the gig. Day was basically an nfl guy for the most part. Look, you all want great offense, an entertaining leader, but it’s just not there outside of stealing dabo or a few other with top jobs. I want a guy that can recruit and win. he’s done that. if he can do it in the sec we will find out.
Kiffin would fit that mold 100 times greater than Napier. Of course there would be risks with Lane, but at least we would have excitement today rather than consternation over the feeling that, as hard as it is to believe, we just hired another run first ball control offensive minded MFer where finishing in the middle of the SEC in total offense is a lofty goal that we will fail to achieve most years.

We ARE talking about the Sunbelt Conference here, right? He's out recruiting Coastal Carolina and Appalachian State. Being underwhelmed is an over statement here.....

He's already got six 3-stars committed for 2022. What 3-star player wants to play for ULL?

I understand your hate, but come on.

Nagy is the executive director for the Senior Bowl. The part I like is Napier having excellent relationships with the high school coaches. We haven't had a coach actually do this since Meyer.

He does not recruit well? He's had 4 classes in 4 years, 3 were ranked #1 in his conference....and the current class, which would be his 5th class, is also ranked #1. smh Stop talking out of your ass and learn how to use google. smh
Who cares if he beats Appalacian State in recruiting. 80th ranked is not great and if 80th is number one in his conference his competition has bottom of the barrel rosters. Oddly most of his players come from a state not named Louisiana, which is odd since Louisiana has as much talent per capita as any state.

He relies on a lot of transfers like the guy we just fired for non performance.

These are the programs he competes against.

I would not be excited or pleased with Napier. I hope I never have to know this particular disappointment. If he's hired and I'm wrong I'll eat crow about it. But I'm not buying into him because a couple coon-azzes said he's great. I'm foreseeing another Butters.

Uh
11-0 and ranked 4 th in the latest playoff polls.

What’s that again????

Dont change the subject. You was talking recruiting, negging one guy for a standard and blowing that standard off for your guy. Fickell cant recruit. Like you said, he is 11-0 and might get a pity entry into the playoff yet still cant pull in a good class. His current class is garbage.

To the comment you made, who cares? Everybody knows they are a product of their pathetic schedule.

I just want a guy who can recruit and instill discipline. If he expands the support staff, that's even better. He's not my first or second choice, but I don't really think the 1st two were realistic. If he does come here, I'll wait until we see what his staff looks like.

Ghey.

I second @BMF

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and attribute your post to drunken stupidity. Sober up and come back.

Kiffin has played a garbage schedule this season(6-5 Austin Pee, 6-5 Louisville, 7-4 Liberty, 2-win Tulane, Vanderbilt, lame-duck Lsu, garbage Ark, first year ut and Aub), and is averaging 33 points a game.

Napier is playing with his peers, plus a P5 game against Texas, and is averaging 32, including 15 more points against the one common opponent, Liberty.

Not endorsing one over the other. Just providing some stats.
