Fellas, then stop watching. Stop coming to Gatorchatter. Go build Ghostbusters props in your man cave.

I'm not spending the entire summer in here with everyone being insufferable. Life's too short.
You want insufferable? Wait until the Orange & Blue game when we get a look at this new "vaunted offense." The only thing we'll see going downfield will the the Gator Aide cart hydrating the sideline workers. And trust me, it'll be faster than those clodhppers he's going to recruit.....

Dont change the subject. You was talking recruiting, negging one guy for a standard and blowing that standard off for your guy. Fickell cant recruit. Like you said, he is 11-0 and might get a pity entry into the playoff yet still cant pull in a good class. His current class is garbage.

To the comment you made, who cares? Everybody knows they are a product of their pathetic schedule.
Keep back tracking.
Don’t be a pussy, own it.

You threw out the “average star rating” for Fickell without even recognizing the irony of your post.

If anything, Fickell has accomplished more with less than Billy.
Yes, with an obviously easier schedule than the power five schools but , on par with Billy’s schedule.

Not to mention Cincy took Georgia down to the last play of the game last year and beat Notre Dame at home.

What is Billy’s signature win?
Has he competed with Power 5 schools with his 3 star roster and Sun Belt staff?

Get real

Fickell may not be our guy, so what?
Napier isn’t either.

It's not that anyone is saying Napier would fail if he came to UF, just that it's not clear he is wonder boy. That seems to ruffle a lot of feathers here just as pointing out Dan Mullen had some major question marks hurt a lot of people's feelings.

Dude...take your own words and heed them. I meerily pointed out that you was negging one guy for a standard and then ignoring it for dreamy soul mate pick. So you own it and stop being a little b!tch. Admit that Fickle can't recruit when you point out that Napier can't recruit. All that other stuff you are talking about is you being triggered because I called you out on your two face BS.

In Napier's one year at OC at Arizona State, they averaged 259 passing yards a game.
So his ceiling is being worse than frikin' MuLLLLLLLen's bassackwards 2021 offense while he was actively trying to get fired?

I'm guessing he hires an OC when he takes a bigger job (UF or otherwise). He's worked for the best in the game and none of them coordinate their own side of the ball. He'll obviously have input, but I'm certain he'd hire an OC. Also, one of the reasons he wanted to OC/QB at ULL was to help spread his assistants salary pool (by not having to pay an OC or QB coach) to get better assistants. If he comes here and announces he's going to be his own OC (after Mullen just failed at that) it won't go over well. As far as "the admin" - I'm sure he's well aware of the lack of admin support for the previous staff's, so he won't take the job and we won't have to worry about him being our coach.
That's like saying will muschamp was gonna hire someone to run his defense

Good lord…. Fuch off.
Pussy it is then. Noted

I never said either could not recruit.
Can you fn read?

I was clearly alluding to recruiting AGAINST the big boys for big boy talent.
A huge different in bringing in 2 and 3 star kids that Appalachian State wants, and competing against Ga for a 5 star.

Obviously, Fickell can compete with the big boys without big boy talent. But that’s not the point here.

Agsin, probably not our guy but, a better coach and program builder than Billy.
Which is the point.

Another thing the ready-to-hire-Napier clan face palms if asked is, how much of his success is because of solid assistants, and if those guys would be coming with him? Fair question. The thought of our Administration using that as criteria seemed to annoy some of the great hinkers here, as if that was not immeasurably significant in Taggert's failure at fsu.

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what about 90% of us are saying. God damnit man.

Agreed.

If Napier had a signature win/upset against a Power 5 team then I'd feel a little warm and fuzzy about him, but considering he doesn't he just comes across as an average coach. At least Urban went to Utah (Power 5) and had two great seasons with a Fiesta Bowl win in final season before taking over for Zook. So he made the jump because he was ready and had proven himself out in Salt Lake City. Napier doesn't have that yet.

What you can say about Napier is his conference record is great. But it's a terrible conference. Really bad. But at least he did not just endure a losing season- mullen was 6-7 the year before UF hired him.

I was glad to learn UF really did not want Mullen. I thought he was Stricklin's boy all along.

Doering was just on a podcast doing an interview and said neither Kiffen or Freeze is likely because Scotty has aversions to their “character issues”.

I’d guess the list looks something like this now:

Napier, Fickell, Campbell, Clausen.

Stoops and Cristobal would be the swing for the fences choices.

Aranda seems to LSU’s focus atm. Napier is their number three.
