Into the jar?
pretty sure that's old school country for slop jar.

it means in the shttter.

think of it as a country version of a porta potty so Mama didn't have to go outside to the outhouse in the cold at night.

Yeah and your jar is full, as usual.

The expression, "in a jar" means you're stuck in a difficult situation and struggling to get out. It means the same as, "in a pickle," because that's what both are referring to, being stuck in a pickle jar.

"Going in the jar," refers to when you're the one who put yourself in the difficult situation in the first place, like, "crawling into a hole." You went in there to get away, or for safety, and now you're stuck.

It's both. Depends on where you are from and when you were born. Honey pots kept under the bed by those without indoor plumbing had many names

‘In the jar’ means it’s done, it’s over, you’ve ‘put a lid on it’.

He’s basically saying the team quit. Which, they did.

And Spurrier definitely cannot relate to that sh!t.

While many, most, on this board expected Mullen would fail to win championships and be in the hint consistently, few expected this implosion. I’ve been wondering why.

I wonder if the show cause penalty and it’s extension soured things. It cut him where he was weakest, and he started coming across as irritable, sarcastic and even petulant.

I guess it doesn’t matter. But the collapse of leadership was buttery.

Makes you wonder why the last two coaches simply gave up rather than fight to right the ship when things went sideways. Almost like the support structure was clearly not there...take the buyout and go elsewhere to rebuild the career.

Did we block a single kick or punt run a kickoff or punt back for a TD under Mullen? I cannot recall any.
Mullen learned special teams don't matter and should be ignored from his years with Meyer. Urban never paid any attention to ST.
