Same... Fried.

We tried it a few years ago for the first time.
Didn't know you were supposed to completely thaw the turkey before dropping it in the grease.
oops.

My bro-in-law also fries his and he has an injection kit for putting in spices.

Smoking three (been brining for a few days already) and frying four.

I like both methods but you really can’t beat prep and cooking time needed for fried turkey—just make sure it’s well thawed and dry when you drop it in the oil.

As long as it's cooked just put it on my plate.

Fried is the way to go if you can

btw... does anyone else like this dessert item straight from heaven?
seems like I'm the only one in my immediate family who loves it... the others are repulsed by its mere presence.

Never thought of cranberry sauce as a dessert. I love it with cornbread/pork dressing.

Oops.
Doing that in combination with having the deep fryer too close to a structure is a major cause of fires.

I’m like the “Old Man” in A Christmas Story, a turkey junkie. I like it anyway I can get it. We’ll have a smoked one and one traditionally roasted in the oven. The latter we brine and stuff with celery, carrots, onions and apples, then rub the skin with some Mazola and black pepper, dust with flour and place it in a browning bag in the roaster and let the oven work it’s magic. After it’s done, we take the stock and make the giblet gravy. It’s always good.

My favorite sub sandwich place in the US was a place in Delaware and they always had a Thanksgiving sub. Fresh oven roasted turkey slices, stuffing, cranberry, and mayo on a sub. Just incredible.

Try a slice of it like a tomato on your turkey sammich on Friday or Saturday when you are working on the leftovers and thank me later. :yum:

I had to find it and look it up:
Capriotti's Bear - Eden Square, DE - Order Online | Capriotti's Sandwich Shop

Voted "The Greatest Sandwich in America" for a reason. If you haven't tried a Bobbie yet, get ready for slow-roasted turkey topped with cranberry sauce, handmade stuffing and mayo. It's a sandwich you'll be thankful for

and to their credit-
That ain’t the processed sliced Turkey either. It looks like they just pulled it off the turkey like regular citizens would do at home.

Yeah, they always had several full turkeys roasting at all hours of the day. The place smelled absolutely incredible.
