Thank you for going the extra mile for us.
LSU definitely isn’t getting Riley.
I'm not sure why we are not emptying our savings account for Riley. Considering the fact that the last 3 coaches have cost us $10 mil a year if you count their buyouts, why not pay that money to a coach to win. If we pay upfront, we won't have to pay in the end.

FYI - The same can be said for hookers vs girls in bars.

I've been focusing on what concerns me and dwelling on it when it comes to Napier. Obviously I have that tendency. After digging around, there's some things I do like about him.

He's a coaches son.

He's a former college qb

He holds himself accountable and gives good and honest answers at press conferences

He's known to be a good recruiter

He does have a very solid record a HC

Not that this worth anything but seems like a likeable guy

That kind of logic will get you a "looney".

Are you out of your fuchsing mind?

Cant get that Mullinz shyt out of your system, huh?

Collins and Diaz are:

1. Good DCs
2. Have a lot of southeastern recruiting ties.

Turner is a good DL coach IMO, who would gel well with both of those guys. He would recruit better with a better recruiting head coach IMO.

Brewster is:
1. An excellent recruiter. Didn't have good people around him, though. We saw his potential with the right recruiting infrastructure at FSU under Jimbo and NC with Mack Brown
2. Coached two great TE's in the history of the game in Pitts and Gates.
3. Already on staff.

Yes, but I think he needs to give up OC/QB coach duties. Those would go to Helfrich or Herman, with Helfrich being the grand slam hire. Napier would need to take on another position group if he gives that up, and that logically is WRs given he did that at Bama.
I also think he was the TE coach at Clemson before he got his ass fired....

Napier might need to give up the dual role but he probably won't unless forced to.

Helfrich isn't a grand slam because he's an awful recruiter.

All of these these stops are irrelevant. Just like if he coached under Saban means very little, the fact that he wasn’t perfect as a coordinator is equally irrelevant. He’s not a first time HC like WM or a guy with a seriously questionable HC resume like JM. Forget where he came from or who he worked for. He’s succeeding at a very tough place for the 4th year in a row. It’s not an unknown as to whether or not he can do the job. He’s doing it now. And it’s complete success, from the games themselves, to the staff and structure he’s put in place, to the recruiting that it’s created. None of this guarantees success here, but he’s nothing like the three previous hires.
