"Probably Napier. Probably announced Sunday. Trying to save recruiting."

We're probably fuched.
I'm convinced Napier is really the only available coach that can save our program. We need a lot more than flashy passing numbers. Our Gators are in shambles.

If he’s hired, let’s revisit this in two years, because the first one is a throw away pretty much.

I work with some big Iowa State fans. They would hate to lose Coach Best Self. But that's because that's all you can expect at Iowa State.

Media says he's on the list at LSU now.

Part of me thinks he's going to spurn UF to stay at ULL. Ouch.
This really feels like Chip Kelly part 2.

I’m thinking Aranda is gonna end up at USCw, then Napier goes to LSU, and we end up with a Campbell or Mark Stoops type. Worse case scenario, which means that’s what will happen.

Serious question, though, if it was a choice between Campbell/ Stoops or Kiffin, you’d rather have Lane, right?

I get that many don't want Napier. But, he is simply making demands that ensure we are competitive with UGly, Clemson, Bama...etc. It is important that if he turns down UF, the why becomes public. Was it simply because he views Lsu as the better job? Does he stay at ULL? Or, maybe he takes the VT job because they are more committed to football than we are and with a much smaller budget? If he spurns us because the admins aren't willing to spend the money then we need to know.

Yes. If a coach is going to flame out in 3 years like usual, might as well flame out with Lame Kitten.

However, I'm dead serious when I tell you Kiffin was never even considered. Right or wrong, Stricklin is strict on character stuff.

a podcast I listened too said the boosters want him but Stricklin does not. Something happened at Ole Miss that immediately removed him as a candidate.

Other than special teams there are only two aspects to the game of football, offense and defense. We know lane Kiffin knows how to score points in the SEC. Hiring him guarantees 50% of the coaching problem solved. Over the years UF has had great defenses. It seems like it would be smart to chose a coach like Kiffin. With the hiring of a decent DC and Kiffin, football could get exciting again.

I'd love to watch a potent offense but I also love to watch smothering defense. One of my favorite plays was watching Spikes plant Marino on his back grill to grill, "Boom $%#$". And let's not undervalue special teams. Under Meyer, they were without a doubt part of the reason we won 2 NCs.

Point being, give me a head coach that's going to run an enterprise. I don't want a glorified coordinator, I want a program builder (yes like Stricklin).

I don't remember Stricklin having issues with Mullen when he didn't punish the d lineman at miss state for beating the fuch out of that lady on video. That "character issue" never even came up when he was hiring Dan. Now the mother fucher wants to pull the character card, fuch him.

If stricklin doesn't want Kiffin from a football or X's and O's standpoint then fine, but don't tell me it's because of "character issues''.

Probably turned off by the fact that the HC was, gasp, recruiting. He has never seen a HC do that.
