Says who? Coaches get fired for not adapting, and look at our record with hiring coaches.
Some coaches adapt , some don’t. BN seems very organized and CEO like, and has a solid plan to succeed. Hopefully he gets the offense expectations at a place like UF, and what it takes to win in the SEC vs the Sunbelt.

Again, bigger schools get you bigger recruits. You're just not bringing 5*s to small schools except rare cases.

Billy Napier All Time Recruits
I believe it’s a good sign that he dominates his conference in recruiting. You’re right that he’s not bringing 5*s to a G-5, or 4* either for that matter. I think we’d all agree that Urbs was an elite recruiter, but his two classes at Utah (pre-PAC 12 days) were full of 3*s and 2*s.

Truth is, we won’t really know until a year or two after BN comes if he’s any good. The one thing I am confident about is he’ll put a lot more effort into it than his predecessor did.

I tend to agree. Coaches generally don’t change that much. They usually feel that their system will eventually work with the right personnel and with proper execution. The difference I see between BN and someone like WM is he doesn’t have to make wholesale changes and doesn’t envision winning 17-3 each game. He needs to tweak his offensive approach and add more down field passing. I think that can be done. I know little of him, other than he seems to be very self aware of situations, and doesn’t want to make a move that he feels won’t work. That tells me he’s a winner who will do what it takes to be successful. If not, he won’t last and we’re here again in 3 years.

Like an old house the UF football program needs a tear down and rebuild project. Who ever the new coach is better have assurances from Stricklin Fuchs and the rest of the decision makers that more resources ,read that as staffing and money, must be allocated to recruiting and player evaluation. The good news is that the hiring process is being fast tracked before the early signing period . The not so good news is that Napier is not a big name. He is going to need to lead a balls to the wall , all hands on deck recruiting blitz just to save what we have.
That includes all the potential transfers like AR 15 who will wait to meet the new HC. UGA has shown us the template of how to dominate the conference in recruiting. They also have an AD and President who are committed to winning football championships. At this point we don't appear to have the same commitment.
Unless Napier or some one else gets the resources required to compete with UGA ,we are going to continue to get the leftovers . Both in recruiting and results.

If we are going that far down the list, I’d rather go after some hotshot coordinator. Stoops is great at Kintuckie. He isn’t a big time coach. He’s just great at a mid tier school like UK. You ruined my day with that
No doubt Stoops is not exciting. But he seems to be building something decent at Kentucky. When they hire Mullen it was "he won at Miss St" which was more or less not true. But maybe Stoops is actually winning at Kentucky? I have not looked at his record.

Once his current players at ULL come out declaring he'll win a National Championship sooner rather than later at UF we know we're fuched.
you need to get behind our new coach and let the kiffin fantasy go , I’m sure he was never considered. Stricks is too conservative. So if kiffin wasn’t an option , that leaves very few
Options on the table

what makes him seem that way? bullshtt propaganda from his agent? Same shtt was said about Chimp and McSharkie.

You are what your record says you are.
Agree for the most part. Trouble is that most everybody nowadays pay big $$$ for potential and big $$$ to part company if/when it doesn’t work out. Shttiy business model that makes millionaires out of hacks and hucksters sometimes. It’s about time for us to draw a four instead of holding on seventeen.

I know right, if some anonymous internet message board retard doesn't support him whole heartedly he might fail.

If it's not gonna be Kiffin or one of the home run hires (Riley, Bob Stoops) then Sling Blade is probably our best remaining option. I'd much rather have him then the other names being floated around like, Mark Stoops, O'Brien and Campbell just because he's such an unknown. Those losers are known losers, at least we may have a chance with him.

the lack of options after Riley and Napier are awful. Aranda appears not to be moving . We are as you said, fooked if Napier doesn’t take job

I agree with the sentiment ... but assurances from bureaucrats is meaningless. Whoever we hire needs to have the CEO-type skills to gather the boosters and alumni, particularly the connected ones (political/education/ funding), and apply pressure to anyone and everyone that hinders the rebuild of the Football Program. By pressure I mean the idea of finding a real job. And by anyone I mean Fuchs, the board, tenured proofs, the PD, reporters ... anyone and everyone. Do it nicely, shove it down their throats or in between.

It’s absurd to suggest Kiffin is a even a risk given what he’s accomplished over the period of time he’s done it starting with the stint at Bama. People with even half a brain realize his lack of maturity rates as news alongside the earth is flat.
