If I didn’t know any better, I’d swear Kouvaris just included Wilber Marshall on the offensive line of the ‘84 UF team.
Well, he was recruited as a TE.

Sam Kouvaris? I live in Jax & I literally NEVER see or hear that guy on TV or radio. Thought he’s been long since retired.

Dont want to start another thread for it because...well, enough of him already...but this could verify and validate the guesses and conclusions made here for some time: lazy pos.

First and 10: Is Florida really that bad? In a word, yes

Good Read.

Nailed it perfectly. Absolutely laziness that created and bad and toxic culture. Mullen ought to have his butt kicked for the lack of work he did. Arrogant and Lazy. I'm all for people getting second chances, but he's not deserving of one. He owes everyone related to the program a HUGE apology. But will never get one and he'll probably never "get it".

And I thought I hated Zook?? Mullen probably the worst HC in my lifetime and that goes back to Doug Dickey.

I know the hate is real and very recent, but no one could be as bad as Dickey.

Dickey is particularly bad because he was exactly what you’d hope for - an ex-Gator QB and an SEC championship coach - who came home and after some early promise nose-dived the program. Then he went back to Ut and spent the rest of his career trying to beat us. Glad we’ve owned them for almost all of the years since.

Mullen’s unmerited arrogance about recruiting was bad. His resentfulness over the last 2 years was worse. Still, Muschamp was a bigger jerk and McElwain was a worse coach. Zook I actually like more than any of those 3 as a person, he was just so obviously in over his babbling head from day #1.

That level of laziness should be considered adequate grounds to fire for cause. He didn't put in the work to earn the paycheck, he certainly didn't earn the golden parachute.

No reason at all to hate zOoK. He worked his butt off, he just wasn't good enough to put it all together. He failed, but not because he didnt try. Any hate for zOoK is misdirected hate that should be for Foley. zOoK followed a legend and set up the next legend on his way out. I got no hate for zOoK.

You read the end of that where it predicted Mullen may end up at Bama?
I don't think he will. To stubborn to learn. As more comes out he has severely damaged his chances at ever getting a big job again. This guys going to be lucky to get an QB coach gig somewhere.

In a couple of years, maybe, but not likely in the SEC or a P5 as HC. The things that have come out suggest he has a problem knowing right from wrong.

So, this guy was fired in the middle of November. Are there any job opening remaining?
Looks like Dan bet on himself and is losing.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Mullen was the worst coach we've had in decades. I don't give a crap about the record or a couple of participation trophy bowls. He left this program in complete disaster and did it on purpose. The last 2 stiffs at least tried, they were just inept and pathetic. He, on top of being pathetic, didn't care and was the laziest sob we have ever employed.

As for his future employment status, I'm sure some crap school will reach out, but his days of decent HC jobs are done, and as for Bama hiring him as an assistant... yeah right. Saban gets guys who failed but work hard and want to improve. Mullen doesn't work at all and still believes he's the smartest guy in the game. Saban wouldn't give him a free internship.
