Lingard and Bowman both used their transfer to come to UF, Bowman from Clemson, Lingard from the U. If they move again they have to sit out a year unless as a grad transfer

I am not sure about this. As I remember and his stats seem to back this up, Lingard sat out 2019. So he has not had a sit out free transfer year yet. Bowman did not sit out so you are possibly right about him.

The question is when the NCAA went to the new transfer rule: first time no sit out, second time you must sit a year unless a grad transfer, what did they do about prior transfers. That is pretty far in the weeds, but it would be pretty unfair to penalize Lingard by taking away a no sit out transfer because he already did transfer but had to sit out a year.

Watching tape on M. Johnson and he doesnt look spectacular with speed or moves. He runs North and South, he takes care of the football, he can break arm tackles, looks like he always falls forward. There's a lot of stuff to like there. If I was comparing him to any former Gator RB it would probably be Mike Gillislee. Although Johnson looks to maybe have a better, stronger frame. He scored rushing 4 TDs vs Ohio this year. So he is tough enough to take it in on some Goal line situations. Looks like they ran some Wildcat formation with Johnson last year and saw some high school tape of him being successful at it. Bowman and Lingard both have some much to offer with their speed. I am really excited to see us actually run the ball on teams with our RBs as opposed to always running with the QB or WRs. I just think with our tradition and all the guys we have put in the league on the OLine that we could finally get some blue chips in here to block for these talented RBs. We have a decent O line coach with some extra supervision. The number one thing I am looking forward to next season is our O line mashing opponents and us gauging Defenses with the run game. I am so tired of UF wasting RB talent. Bama, Auburn, Lsu Uglay always have super talented RBs. Its finally our turn to show off the talented RBs we have in Florida.

Anyone supposing that our improved OL will let Lingard & Bowman use their speed.? Will they hit a lane for 10+ yards now & then.?
While Nap is run first, our fate is up in the air.

Your description reminds me of Kestahn Moore. Or even the best at that: Errrict Rhett - not flashy but tough as nails and got the needed yards, which piled up over 4 years to the most ever.

Edit: And he is effective as the check-down receiver 5 yards deep. He needs to thicken up a bit. More Warrick Dunn size, which is fine if he plays like that.

A back being described as "he takes care of the football" reminds you of Kestahn Moore?

Moore single-handedly cost us a shot at the 2007 NC, a year which a team with 2 losses won it all. We lost 2 of our 3 regular season losses because of Moore's inexcusable fumbles. They say he still has to watch his back to this day - Gator fans don't forget.
