A lawyer buddy of mine with more money than sense bought a set of Mizuno Mp-20 HMB's and couldn't hit them. I've done a bunch of work for him in the past so he told me all he wanted was the shafts so if I took the shafts out for him I could have the heads. Pulled the shafts, and cleaned the heads up yesterday. Then did some paint fill this morning. I'll finish building them on Monday. 2022-04-09.png 2022-04-09 (1).png

Looks fantastic! What shafts are you installing? A little pricey, but they’d look great with these grips…

Those MCC's are pretty but I'm not a huge fan of them. Especially for the price. I prefer a full cord.
The shafts are some KBS 110s I had laying around that I pulled from another set a while back.

Without the pics, I wasn't sure what the f you were actually describing, but it was a bit disturbing!
I inserted the hard shaft into the dark hole. Tomorrow I'll circumcise the shaft from the butt end and then slide some rubbers on them. After letting them dry I will then whip them out and hit some balls to with them. Maybe even colored balls.

Here's how they sit for now. Will cut and grip them tomorrow. 20220210_161441.jpg

Gotcha. Was thinking of the Golf Pride Team grips (full cord) but didn’t quickly find a pic.

I'm probably gonna go with some Karma full cords. On the cheaper side, but honestly they feel better than the GP full cords. I like a rough cord and the Golf Prides tend to be a little smoother. I always have to rough them up with sandpaper. Whereas the Lamkin and Karma cords feel right without messing with them

The finished product. Don't have time to hit the course, but I'll take them to the range this weekend. 20220412_133839.jpg

Nice. I usually use Lamkin royal cords but I had these Karma cords laying around and they felt great so I stuck them on.

So 1st range report with them. Instant bump in forgiveness from the 25 year old T-Zoids I was using. A little more head waleight too which is nice. Not quite as pure a feel as the old t-zoids mainly because of these not being a solid forging, but the extra forgiveness more than makes up for that. And still way more feel than a cast club. They get the ball up in a hurry which is nice. Very low center of gravity on these compared to my old set. Overall I love them so far. Need to get them on the course but so far so good.
