And he gets a mind to be offensive, on occasion, as well.I’m just kicking it around. I’m not as anti-Kiffin as I used to be but I didn’t want him here. He’s got a great offensive mind, for sure.

So my solution to paying players has actually been something of clearing house hybrid. All deals have to be approved by the member university’s compliance board and submitted to a national registery. Your proceeds get split in two groups. 50% goes to a personal account that a student athlete can access any time after graduation within 20 years of the end of playing days. The other 50% funds a collective account that pays out even amounts to all ncaa student athletes at their division level. To be Eligible for payouts, student athlete must have made at least one contribution during the calendar year. So the women’s volleyball team needs to have at least one collective deal with restaurants in town or the local car wash or something. If we really want to beef that up, all broadcast deals would require 50% of the contract to go to the general fund. Levels the playing field for everyone, allows the bigger star athletes to capitalize the most, but maintains an amateur status and keeps coaches from needing to be GM’s negotiating contracts
Saban is moral?BN has copied the Saban "process". Napier is thorough, detailed, and moral
Saban is moral?
One thing that is exciting...though Napier may not pass a lot...He likes to throw deep.
So what you’re suggesting is just university affiliated pro teams but actually worse because they don’t have a salary cap. Do students go at all? Who pays the womens lacrosse team or the mens tennis team? I think we can all agree the current structure is unsustainable and the lack of structure leaves about 5 teams any hope of competing because the playing field is so unevenI don’t like the idea of limiting somebody’s capitalistic opportunity. They shouldn’t be acting like a trust. Just pay the athletes.
Athletics is basically gonna have to fall into the category of BIG 2 or BIG 3. Then they have to get together and set up their own compliance piece. And they all have to operate from the same rules. Then that way if a kid wants an out-of-control deal he could go to a smaller conference but his exposure will be less which limits his opportunity to make it to the NFL. Some kids will still do that. But they won’t have the same access to TV exposure and marketing exposure. Which means their chances making it to the NFL (their big payday) is less.

As Best As I can tell, the current rules are that you aren’t supposed to be able to utilize potential NIL contracts as an inducement for a kid to come to a particular school. But that’s obviously not what’s happening with the Miamis and A&M’s of the world. The difficulty is needing a predictable repeatable system that has defined rules in which everyone can workIsn't NIL Name, Image, Likeness? Who does it fit with recruiting? Lawyers please advise. I thought it was for player's could now get paid for commercials, adds, maybe programs and TV exposer, video's, You Tube, video games...etc. Like the music industry?
I suggest a stipend when you make the team even walk-on, more for the traveling team, even more when you play...and so much per game. Then the add/sponsor money but after the fact.
This for all sports.

i thought your point had something to do with saban, or morals? My point...Urban had chaos in the locker room. Muschump was a control freak... a good D but no O, Butters was butters...over his head, Cousin Ed was lazy and a creep . Even Urban's offense was not that great in 2006 but the defense and special teams were.
Saban's process not his or Bama's morals, ethics, or offense.i thought your point had something to do with saban, or morals?
