I just want to clarify that list of posters who have gone on record predicting a Utah loss. For each one of these people, they will get vacations depending on the margin of victory. For each point UF wins by, they get two days off. Durty and NV are the worse of the lot, so I've upped it to 5 days off per point in the case of those two.

Here's the list of haters:

Any nonsense you spew now doesn't make up for prior comments. You're on the hook.

When have I ever said UF will lose?

I've said it's a toss-up and it's going to be a close game, but that's respecting a tough opponent, not being defeatist.

A close game favors us: we're at home and they'll be playing in conditions they aren't accustomed to and in a stadium environment they haven't faced before. All of that spells Florida victory.

Anyone claiming it would be a close game made the list.

As much as I would love the free education provided by your “lifestyle adjustment camp”, I picked UF to win: see post 193.

WTF, I never went on record predicting a loss to the Utes. I merely liked a post.

Also, sofla got me dead to rights. I live in Utah, have for 24 years, and I'm male.

I think the Gators win but I don't believe it'll be a blowout. But boy do I hope it is. One factor I haven't heard mentioned is the altitude advantage the Utes players have. Their campus is at about 5000 feet. BHG is what, 20-30 feet? I know when we visit family the humidity is definitely stifling but I feel stronger at sea level due to the elevation difference.

Anyway, Go Gators.

So even though I predicted a win for the good guys, I'm on the list of those who predicted a loss because I said it would be a close game?

Altitude difference will factor in next year, no question; but it isn't going to be very relevant for this year's game.

Training at altitude does give an athlete a slight advantage in endurance (due to extra oxygen intake at sea level vs at altitude) and yes, they'll make one feel stronger...but that won't last very long since the humidity drains you of energy as you sweat a LOT more here than there.
