I subscribe to On3 and 247. And I’ll re-up. I subscribe for 2 main reasons

1. They have a much more robust and informed recruiting community than here.

2. I share that info you all to keep our Gatorchatter family informed.

Their board communities are garbage. They are mainly vagabonds and their boards are TOXIC. Other than the writers and the insiders, their members suck ass. They all use snark and azzholery as their main communication. But not like here in a funny gentle ribbing way.

I would meet any of you in real life. Or have dinner, etc… AND EVEN THOUGH my interaction with everyone has mostly only been through the postings, I consider some of you like family. Albeit an extended family.

I wouldn’t piss on most of those other message board posters if they were on fire.
J is and has always been one of my favs. :fistbump:

I think Baxter is the good news on the 10th...not that I am saying we are getting Baxter but players recruiting other players isn't always an inside for sure thing, its just a player recruiting another player. God bless Webb...I wasn't a fan at first but I am now. Its looking like a Texas vs Florida battle and word on the street is he prefers Florida all things equal, but, all things are not equal and he also prefers NIL. Im not sure if we will ever over pay for a player so guess we are going to have to wait and see.*

Bama offered (committable) Sharif Denson. Lets see what happens there too.

Kelby Collins (6-5 280 4* .9664 top 100 composite) announced he will probably be committing in the next several weeks. Its between bama, Florida, uga, cooks and sooners. Says he doesn't really have a leader yet but Florida is definitely up there after the work they have put in. Definitely feels needed and sees going to Florida as a strong possibility. He says he will go where he has the best relationships, gets on the field early and feels like home the most. Sounds like we are in it but he is from Alabama and I think he goes there if he has a chance.

Sorey wants in but he is being told to hold on. Patterson could flip to UCF.*

Just waiting on Dijon to commit and get August started.

I assume that Patterson will move elsewhere now that we have secured commitments from several higher rated guys.

And 247 has now put us ahead for DL Kayden McDonald out of North Gwinnett, GA. 6’3” 310.
.9044 rating on 247. 4 stars. Top 300 Nationally, top 30 in GA, 42nd rated DT.

These two alongside Will Norman would give us a decent haul of outright interior DLs. I likey.
I saw his coach at the gym on Saturday and forgot to ask about this kid.

It is what it is. Doing better than the last guy isn't enough. We have to compete with the big boys.
The question is can we do better in 2024. Me thinks they're will have to be some staff changes after this season.
Oh I agree entirely. Its still depressing though :lol2:

While I agree 5 DTs would be problematic (and likely the staff would not choose to allow) it’s a good sign that we’re possibly in a position to be picky about which blue chippers we’re accepting.

This is why we need the Gator Getters back.
I remember the brewhaha with the name "Gator Getters" and it was changed to "Gator Guides". A quick Google search looks like they have been disbanded?

Yeah. Miserable and lonely women had to ruin it for everyone. The girls involved in that..."operation" were enthusiastic volunteers who enjoyed hanging out with student athletes. I'm not aware of a compliant that ever emerged from them. The concerns were always from women who were concerned that these women might be getting things that attractive women have always gotten by the means they have always gotten it.

I want him, but this DB class is going to be solid to stellar, which means there won’t be room for some very talented guys we would love to have. Say we lose him but get Dijon? Or we keep him but lose Dijon? Or we get both but miss on McClain? We won’t know for 2-3 years how accurate these individual rankings actually are or how each will respond to coaching and impact team success.

Now if we can just develop that dynamic at every position group…

I was being facetious. I think he's a Gator. Bama slow played him, and from what I understand, he's not interested in them.
I agree that the DB recruiting is where every position group needs to be ... maybe the on field performance will help with that.
