I watched Pierce's only drive of the game the other night. The way he was running, he was on pace for 200 yard game. The touchdown lowered his yards per carry average.
Nessler asked, "Why didn't this guy get more carries at Florida?" That question will be asked a lot this year.
I want a play-by-play guy to ask mullins during the game they’re covering. “Hey dan, did you see DP running like a man on fire last Sunday? Everyone I talked to has been wondering… Why did he average less than 10 carries a game at UF???”
Eddie was cringeworthy on LIBSPN yesterday.
He was on during the rain delay during the HBCU game they were attempting to cover, I happened to be flipping by and heard him exclaim that UGA/Oregon next weekend was going to be the best matchup.
Dork.
I was rooting for him to find a team to stick around with for a couple of years because he's still a Gator, but this really isn't surprising. He never did return fully from his injury IMO. Every carry he took away from Pierce was a crime. On a related note, Malik Davis was cut today.
Texans cut Mack; rookie Pierce now likely RB1
The Texans released veteran running back Marlon Mack on Tuesday.www.espn.com
Seeing as how the Texans may be the worst offense in the league, it's a tall order.I hope DP earns Offensive ROY. Not sure that’s realistic, but that’s what I want.

FIFYI don’t follow the nfl nearly as close as I used to, so my BRILLIANCE is clearly on full display.
Nope its a sure way to a short carreerThe Texans have a hideous passing game (no QB or playmakers) and a mediocre (at best) OL, so it's likely Pierce is going to see a lot of stacked fronts, unfortunately. Pierce being drafted by the Texans was good in that many knew he was good enough to win the starting job with the crappy backs they had, but there may be nowhere to run after winning it.
That's still better than going to a good team with an established star RB and sitting the bench.
Better than a long career sitting the pine.Nope its a sure way to a short carreer
Not really. Long term injuries.Better than a long career sitting the pine.
