Sorry to be "that guy" but we are 2 plays away from being 0-3....their QB is noticeably better....best team UT has fielded in several years....first road game in front of a raucous crowd....

UT 34
UF 17

I mentioned in another thread the first Gator game I saw in person was the 45-3 beat down at Neyland in 1990. Hopefully it won’t be that bad.
I think it's appropriate to highlight 1990, which was Spurrier's first year and a tough game to watch. The UF-ut series made a dramatic shift in our favor after that game. SOS and every coach since (except Zook, but even HE managed to steal one in a knoxville downpour) had a winning record vs tinerc. We likely lose this game, but the way CBN is recruiting right now, I suspect he will right the ship and keep the last 30ish year dominance rolling.

As for the present, will tinerc feel a ton of pressure to get the monkey off their back and end up creating another comedy of errors like recent years? Will UF continue to fall short of potential? Unlike the last decade or so, i think they have a good coach (good enough make them competitive in the east again? remains to be seen), so I expect them to play competent football.

ut wins and we have to hear that stupid song the whole game. I hope it's not a blowout.

UF will win. Crowd noise amps up AR and we see a return to the dual-threat version. Gators win turnover battle and Vols shizzle the bed.

Final: Gators 31, Vol-in-Tears 20.

Neither their O-line or their D-line have been tested to this point. I see both collapsing under the pressure.

Gators 27
Vols 13

Wake me up when we upgrade our coaching staff.

Anybody that thinks Tennessee has a talent advantage on us is delusional. They do appear to have a coaching & offensive system advantage on us, though.
I can’t blame the current state of affairs on a staff that’s had one off-season and 3 games. This meal has been in a crock pot for years now. They just get the unenviable task of serving it up.

I understand that they’ve only been on the job for 10 months but can you honestly say you felt the coaching has been good the past 2 games? That the coaches improved from Game 1 to 2 to 3? That they haven’t regressed?

I’m afraid that even if the staff does a better job over the next few seasons, we’ll ultimately see that they are Sunbelt level coaches with the upside capped. I hope I’m wrong, though.

I think we’ve seen much better coaching on the defensive side. OL and RB look much improved, as well. QB has been a disaster. Is that coaching or personnel? I’ve gotta believe it’s personnel at this point. I think it’s severely limiting the playbook and what they’re comfortable calling with AR right now. WRs are almost useless when you can’t read a defense or make the throw.

It's a match-up nightmare for us. Tennessee is built to score points . We don't have a qb or an edge rusher. You also don't give a good offense extra opportunities, and AR is good for atleast 2 picks. This game really has disaster written all over it. This isn't gonna be within 2 scores. Not saying the seasons over and we won't win some games cause I think we will but this one certainly ain't one of those games.

If Napier and staff don't try and make AR a pocket passer and allow him to play backyard ball then we win a close game 28-24. Otherwise I see a TN victory.
