Until yesterday, Vandy's only 3 wins were to Hawaii, Elon, and Northern Illinois (and the latter two were actually close games). They had lost 26 straight SEC games. It's hard to put into words how bad that loss was for Mark Stoops and the Wildcats. After their early hype, they have lost 4 of 6 and keep getting worse. No one is talking about Stoops being a hot coaching prospect anymore. He's where he belongs.

This Vandy defense gave up 45 points to Wake Forest, 55 to Alabama, 52 to Ole Miss, 55 to Georgia, and 38 to South Carolina. They have the 122nd ranked defense, giving up 458 yards per game (UF is 103rd).

It's difficult to see them slowing down UF's offense, who is looking at another 300+ yard rushing day. I'd like to see the staff continue to work on the shaky passing game and getting AR calmed down and stepping into his throws. I think most of his accuracy problems are because he never sets his feet and his throws are all arm - I'm sure they've been working on that with him since day 1, but habits are hard to break.

Vandy is playing a running QB now, Mike Wright, who can make things happen on the ground - he had 126 yards rushing against UK. To me, this is the biggest concern - we have to contain him in the pocket.
I didn't known Elon had time to play football with all the companies he runs.

I still can’t believe this becomes an annual topic/concern with at least one game each year. Just at quick glance, earlier this year Gainesville saw a low of 27 and high of 46. Another day it never made it out of the low 30s all day. December of ‘20 was worse. Probably 80% of this team experienced those things. Last year chferg swore the whole team would look like the Germans at Stalingrad and the night game in Knox the previous year was going to be sure death.

It will be cold. But nothing so completely out of the ordinary that it would impact things.
I remember when it snowed in Gainesville. I was a student then, we all went outside and threw snowballs at each other!

I agree. Almost all of ARs issues lately are related to mechanics and footwork. He reads the field VERY well but misses open dudes. He has started throwing off his front foot a lot which just leads to inconsistency. Even his dime TD to Pearsall against USCe had terrible mechanics. The weird thing is he almost never did this last year. If he can get these things straightened out he’s an obvious first rounder. Completely unselfishly, I hope he comes back for another year and can get his completion percentage above 65%. If he does that he’s a top 5 lock. Love watching the dude play.

He just needs to admire his throw.

I remember. January 1977. It became such a distraction that classes in the J school were let out.

Bunch of us old guys on here. I was there for the Jan '77 snow as well. Have a picture somewhere of me and a friend shirtless and in shorts, eating Baskin Robbins ice cream, in the quad at Murphree. Go Fletcher N "Nads!"

Wish you wouldn't use the term old guys. I was on alert for the blizzard of 77. 3 to 4 feet of snow. No Thursday changeover. 9 days in the hole. The mess hall ran out of food and started opening up war reserve rations. Our squadron started snow mobile runs to all the stranded families on base, delivering food and making sure everyone was safe. Oh, and the wing commander admonished us for having nonreg haircuts.

It had to have snowed at least a dusting back in 2010. My mom lives in Ocala and she had snow in a corner of her roof for like 4 days. Reminded me of the storm in Jax in the late 80s with the snow at the base of palm trees. That was awesome.
